Oh so close! I have been paid today, and my balance was only -£26! I have transferred £30 from my other bank account so that I can experience the feeling of being in the black for the first time in about 3 years! I know you guys will understand how nice that feels
It won't last long - I'll let it stay there until tomorrow and then I'll make all the payments I need to make, rent, car, train home for christmas etc etc.
Very annoyed though - I got my train times confused in my head, and found myself on the wrong train today. The train conductor told me I had to pay for another ticket at a grand total of - wait for it- £125:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Wasn't happy, as it really was a genuine mistake on my part (thought my train was the quarter past as I always get the quarter past, but had actually booked for the quarter to). The original train ticket only cost £24, so not sure why the 500% increase! He wasn't very willing to let me sort something else out - I offered to get off the train at the next stop and everything, and pay for the journey so far. In the end he took pity and let me have my young persons discount, but not before I endured a lot of whispering and pointing from the rest of the passengers in the carriage. So that's £80 I won't be paying off this month, and I definitely won't meet the 50% mark. Very upsetWill debt update tomorrow.
Update: Current bank balance = £3.99!!!0 -

 Finally left the £12k region and that's a cool percentage :j:beer:
It's left us a bit tight for groceries this month  but have some backpay owing and going to sell like a banshee on the 'bay. I figure I've spent so long living to an OD limit and scrimping, I might as well be scrimping and sweating about staying within £0 as £800!
Happy Friday everyone....especially Choclover who shares a payday!
Great news!
