Oh my god, can't believe the conversations that were happening on FB last night between my hubby's family - I'm sooo glad they're not mine, but feel sorry for hubby that they think so little of him :(

I wouldn't wait any time at all! I've have tonsillitis three times, and each time I went to the doctors within 24 hrs, got antibiotics and started feeling better in 2 days. It can go away on its own, but I don't really understand why it is worth suffering.

I have just rung the doctors after your sound advice and the receptionist was in full agreement with you :o wouldnt let me have a phone appointment, insisted a doctor had to see me :o hopefully they'll let me have antibiotics and it will go away! Really wish they wold just cut the bloomin things out as I have serial tonsilitis . . might broach the subject with the doc today try and convince him that even though they rarely do, do adults, it would be worth it in my case :o

  • They did my Mam's a few years ago (bought a years after they did mine) so don't worry they definitely do adults. You can still get tonsillitis after you've had them out but I've never had it since (although I didn't get it much I just had one case that lasted 4 months and nothing shifted it) I really hope the docs manage to help you.

Found out this morning I'll be going on a work trip to Brussels in July for new hires (I'll have been with the company for 11 months then but it's for people under 24 months as this place is definitely a career place not a one year contract kind of environment) I'm really excited, never been to visit any of the other technical centres.

    Hi all,

I've only managed to pay the minimums this month due to a very expensive month filled with birthdays, two weddings and our anniversary! Another £29.23 off the A&L card - which runs out of it's 0% deal next month arrrggghhh

Hello all, nothing really to report but well done everyone on various payments and good news like the council tax!

I had a voucher for £10 off my first Mr S online shop so I completed that this morning to be delivered tomorrow evening. I quite like how you can just surf through the basics stuff all together, I already regularly buy the pizza, pasta, weetabix, chopped toms, hummus and much more so was really good. Then I just loaded up on offers for meat, fruit and veg and 2 bottles of wine and it came to £76 including delivery which is about £45 better than my instore shop has been for the last few weeks.:j

I did forget carrots though

I have a £10 M&S voucher which I will use for the milk/bread top ups (and carrots :rotfl:) this week.

I am so cross that DHs santander only has £100 left on it after we got it down from about £6k earlier in the year. It is REALLY annoying me  I must find a way of paying it off before payday!! Hoping that DH will get his expenses this week and also got a few bits on the 'bay :)
