Passbook says my Flexclusive ISA starts April 11 2012. Oh, and Flexclusive ISA also showing on my online accounts now.
My passbook has a 'Printed date of April 11' on the inside front cover. This is not the date that the funds went in.

My ISA on the online banking also says April 11 but on the details columns there is a links saying backdated to April 7. This confirms what the branch said when I queried the date on the passbook in that it would be backdated to April 7.

What does it say in your passbook and online banking?

My Passbook doesn't have any dates in it, apart from the date of the initial deposit, which matches the date I applied in the branch.
  • I applied last week Wednesday, funds disappeared from my NW flex acct next day, ISA finally showed online+funds today but no pass book though.

Does every ISA customer get one?

Should do. I opened mine in local branch on 16th and was told passbook would be posted. Husband opened his in different local branch yesterday and was given passbook there and then :)

You do not need to return the signature slip. I guess you must have opened the account by phone?

Their phone service for these ISAs is managed by the bonds department and bonds require a signature but they are unable to distinguish ISA applications from Bond applications so the signature slips get sent out for the Flexclusive ISAs too, but they are not required. Just ignore the signature slip, you don't need to return it.

Thanks Paul. I did open by phone. The letter with the slip says to sign it and send it back and provides an envelope to do so? Is it just a standard thing that comes out when you open an account by phone then?

Yes everyone will get one but I think different branches are taking different approaches with the passbooks. Myself and hubby applied in branch on the 7th April, we were told that passbooks would be sent out on the 10th but they were actually only ordered on the 13th when the branch sent off a weeks worth of applications. We got them yesterday and today. Both books are dated the 7th April though.

I am a bit annoyed at having to trapse back to the branch to confirm signatures when we have been customers for 12 years but small price to pay for such a good rate I suppose.

    Hi.

I just noticed while logged into the Nationwide internet banking site that there is an option to transfer funds from an existing e-ISA to the Flexclusive ISA.

If you have an e-ISA just look on the dropdown box for tranfering funds between accounts on the left hand side and select the "From" option to select the e-ISA and on the "To" dropdown box there you can select the Flexclusive ISA account.

Wonder if this counts as a genuine transfer of funds between ISA's in that youn could transfer previous years ISA's into this from an e-ISA?

I have the Online ISA and it appears that I also have the option to transfer previous years' funds into the Flexclusive. I only have just over £1k left in it though, having recently transferred over £60k out :( I might try transferring once I've I've put the full £5640 into the Flexclusive later this month.

Any brave soul going to try now :p
