I have nothing to hide, just peed off giving these details.Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.0 -
Anyone had any problems with their knives going blunt ? Used one of mine for the 3rd or 4th time today and it didn't seem sharp at all.
Dunno what returning them would be like with no receipts :eek:Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.0 -
catching really quickly I'm not sure if that is the policy in your area or because of the cancer but the usual route to get a Blue Badge in our area is to go to the Social Services Dept of the council, ours is in a seperate place to the rest of the council offices, take £2, two recent passport photos, proof of DLA & proof of address. I'm not sure why the CAB have to get involved in the Blue Badge. You must have something in writing about Alan's cancer won't they accept that, the badge should be issued on the spot. Did you ask Cambs cc if you could drop in proof of ID & residency ? You could take his passport & driving licence as ID
Have you looked at cambs cc website re blue badge rules
Thanks for the pm QPR :A CAB told me about the Blue Badge as we thought he'd have to wait until DLA was granted before applying. However, due to his terminal cancer, he could apply for special one which normally only takes 48 hours to process .... no £2 fee, no photograph or signature on the Badge .... so they sent the form in for him and I then took ID/residency proof in for her to post copies to them. It turns out that the council do have the documents now but there is such a backlog that it may take another 5 days, though it is currently being printedCan anyone confirm that ANYTHING price checks please?!!! Still waiting on some from 10/04
3Dogs, great news!! :j Some motability cars can take an age to arrive when they're ordered, but don't forget you can get a car much quicker if you have a used one. (Usually almost new.) The dealers can find out what's available now and advise how long new cars will take.
We went to 2 dealerships near to us this afternoon. One says 10-12 weeks delivery  but the one we will be going back to tomorrow says 5-6 weeks, mainly due to the fact that they are British made though not British companyso not having to be brought into the country

Problem is HC that we only have a W Reg Vauxhall Combo Van and it is on it's last legs, and we need a good car to get out and about to enjoy ourselves with the time Alan has left. We have a holiday in Devon planned, will be visiting friends in Hampshire and family in North East, as well as weekend breaks and day trips, so want a comfortable, reliable, and fuel efficient car .... and Motabilty will give us that. Like Nannylala said when Nikki's Dad got his, let the neighbours think we've won the lottery/pools ..... we couldn't possibly afford a good car any other way
Anyway, I am all caught up now, just in time to go to bed, so will wish you a very goodnight - sleep well guys :beer:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12
