All the best 3Dogs and Mr 3Dogs! So pleased you managed to get the benefits sorted. If anyone deserves it it's you and your husband. Well done. Sending you both big hugs. Just started volunteering at CAB and love it when things can get sorted. It's good there is a place for people like you to go to and get help even with the forms not to mention fighting the big machine of injustice. It's a charity and have no idea where some people will go if it doesn't get funding...

btw. seen Scotch Gift wrap tape bc5773 39p
Scotch handband dispenser 3326 39p (to get ready for Xmas gifts packing! ;)

Spotted a great DTD opportunity on Thornton's Moments. A large cardboard display at end of aisle with yellow £4 label. Remembered seeing the same chocs in my other local marked at a tenner so thought I'd give a scan and BINGO that's what they came up as! Bizarrly, the yellow label was correct - ending 24/04 I think so must have had 2 barcodes of the same item and some scanning at £4 and some at a tenner I guess. Wasn't brave enough to buy loads

I was tempted to give this a go last week but chickened out.

They have two different shapes of 600g containers which have different barcodes on them. On the £4 one the tub is spherical and the opening to the tub is at a 45 degree angle. The £10 one is the new batch and the opening is flat at the top and the front/back sides are smooth.

I decided against it as I thought they would argue that the cardboard display does not picture the £10 container. Or I can see them saying "you were not overcharged for this product, it is £10. If we had sold you the other one at £10 then you would have been overcharged and entitled to refund. If you want one at £4 then why not return the £10 tub and buy one of the other shaped tubs instead"

I don't know where you guys get the courage to go for DTD when it is a different product/barcode/date. I've always been told I should have read the offer ticket in detail

I tried arguing over an OOD SEL once before and got nowhere at CS. When I rang HO they said it wasn't policy to pay DTD on OOD SEL (!!! !!!) but they sent me a goodwill giftcard as the date was weeks past rather than days. They probably figured it was a safe bet that they had overcharged enough people in that time to compensate me

I couldn't believe when they told me they dont pay DTD on OOD SELs both instore and on the phone. Now I see daily success stories on here from all you guys maybe I should pluck up the courage again and refuse to leave without speaking to a manager if it comes to that (but obviously not in my local as dont want to get known)

I know of a store with yellow "special purchase" SELS for Thornton pouches at £1 that expired in March and now scan at £3. maybe I'll start there :D

  • Thanks v much to Karlie I have used it and used the discount voucher codes so managed to get £59.00 (inc a couple of b1g1f) worth of groceries for £27.00.inc delivery. As well as using the Quidco codes I also put in T's code for a new customer and it reduced by both lots of £10, the £2.50 for frozen, the £2 for pet food, the £1 for cooked meat and the £1 for cheese so if I do get the £10 cash back as well it means it will have cost £17.00:j:j:j

Hi just in the middle of doing a tesco online shop and cannot get it to take more than one new customer code, how did you do this ?

if anyone can help me please
when buying palmolive at tesco do you buy it on its own and then do price check ??

    thanks

I bought my 3 bottles today as part of a £40 shop. I dont suppose ther eis any reason why you cant just buy 3 bottles and use £3 of MOCs - you are still handing over some money.

Mind you on the next shop you have a JTD for £2 or whatever and the till person needs to see your 1st receipt they could get difficult. Its up to the stores wether or not they accept JTD vouchers. i had one refused once as I was buying wine and my 1st receipt also had wine on it. Mind you that was/is a difficult store

Skylanders is a video game for 360, PS3 or Wii.

It comes with a 'Portal' a round platform on which you place small figures that you will then become within the video game. It is a popular game, but you will find yourself buying extra figures at around £8 each.

Hi ChelseaGirl, sorry to hear your mum is having such a bad time you must be so worried about her. Can I ask even if you manage to prove that she bought the potatoes at T's, apart from the refund on them what are you looking for them to do for you, don't mean to sound rude but I should imagine that they will at the most only offer a refund. If you let us know what you are wanting them to do perhaps someone will be able to advise.

Could be that the spuds were just over cooked, I find microwaved spuds slushy and tasteless anyway...

Prob not worth stressing over.....sorry CG!:o

    Afternoon all,

I'm not up to date with the thread at all, so apologies if this has already been posted - just a friendly reminder to keep your tanks topped up ;)

Fuel tanker drivers strike: Union set to reject deal

A DEAL aimed at preventing a fuel tanker drivers strike looks set to be rejected.

Around 60 representatives of drivers working for seven haulage firms have been holding talks about proposals drawn up during talks at Acas.

They ended on Friday but no details were made public until today.

The dispute surrounds a number of issues including terms and conditions, pensions and health and safety and flared up last month after Unite announced that drivers in five companies had backed strikes.

A deadline for calling industrial action has been extended to this Friday.

Unite would need to provide seven days notice of any industrial action.

There was speculation that the union representatives are not entirely happy with the proposals and will vote to reject them later today.

It is likely that Unite will seek more talks with the employers, probably including Acas, before naming any strike dates.
