Hi everyone, am soooo far behind. Just popping in as i got the £1 dressing gown today but it scanned at 4p. Lady on till was most impressed!!

Can anyone help me please?
My mum bought 2 loose baking potatoes last Wednesday from our local 'normal' T's. She has thrown away the receipt.
When the potatoes were cooked, she found that the inside was slushy, tasteless mush. She had already put baked beans on top of the potatoes so ate it all as this was her dinner and she had nothing else in to eat. The following day she had diarrhoea and tummy pains.
As you know, she has recently been diagnosed with secondary cancer, and I'm not happy that she was potentially made to feel poorly because of the potatoes.
I have just called the 0800 505555 number and was told that she needs to take the packaging back to the store (they were loose potatoes, so they were just in a plastic bag - took aaages to get that point across to the 'customer services' woman...), then the woman said that she should take the potatoes back for a 'replacement or refund'. I patiently (ish) explained that the potatoes are now in the bin. (Bring back the 'rolling eyes' smiley I say...)
Then the cs woman said that there's nothing they can do without a receipt. I have my mum's clubcard number, so I can prove that she bought the potatoes.
Feels like I've just spent the last few minutes banging my head against a brick wall!
Any help will be most appreciated.

Maybe you got MY shop!
Still haven't had the correct one back... willing to use the one with wrong time though! It's the right amount!
This one doesn't have my shopping on - there is a small jtd but mine would be double what this one is - have put it in again with a different email to see if it still comes back incorrectly0 -
nipped in Ts on way back from hospital with DS
only got a few bits i needed BUT spotted a big cream and navy bag on the sale rail it was reduced from £10 to £5 thought id take a chance as a few have reported 4p bargains alas it came up as unknown item the SS ca said he could put it through manually for £5 but there is no way i could ever return it. i declined that. but may be one for others to keep an eye out for it was a big cream cotton canvas bag with navy straps and trim. i saw some rugby scarves that had £3 written on in red pen but the reduced barcodes had all been ripped and parcially takn off the original underneath so not sure if you could even scan those.
so glad the paperwork seems to have gone well today 3Dogs
hugs to all who want/need oneSPC~12 ot 124

Hi ChelseaGirl, sorry to hear your mum is having such a bad time you must be so worried about her. Can I ask even if you manage to prove that she bought the potatoes at T's, apart from the refund on them what are you looking for them to do for you, don't mean to sound rude but I should imagine that they will at the most only offer a refund. If you let us know what you are wanting them to do perhaps someone will be able to advise. If it wasn't for blinds it'd be curtains for all of us:dance:0

Thanks FK:) I've missed being on the night shift but with so much to do at the moment I just don't seem able to relax or afford the time for that. Will be back eventually though:cool:
Hope you get sorted out with your "mojo" Don't know the details from occasional skim reading but I'm sure you'll soon be back on track(like me) and exchanging "friendly ribbing" on the night shift at some point.
Bit O/T but spent my morning between B&Q, Wickes, Toolstation and Screwfix. Got a T style result at Wickes with incorrect pricing on store SEL for some (£150 worth) spotlights so got them 25% off plus I've got a 30% off voucher on top of that to take off. Much bigger savings than some of the things I have to work hard for at Mr T:D On top of that I found that some of the other things I'd bought at 30% off I didnt need so took them back for a refund and got refunded the non discounted price! Kerching, another £20 profit back in my pocket:D Who needs Mr T?
Did manage a quick trip to Mt T this afternoon but only to buy some bread. Had a quick look at clothes in St+ckt+n Extra using the barcodes posted(thanks) but no sign of any 4p candidates. Anyone else found anything in St+ckt+n?
Apologies to all for the lack of thanks to posts at times when I'm skim reading and lurking but I'm up to my eyes with a million and one jobs that keep cropping up. See you later:)Awaiting a new sig0 -
