Went to see Grease the musical last night with the girls ahhhh it was sooooo fabby!:jAlso made some MSE Easter pressies for my cousins but my camera wasn't charged so I couldn't take a piccie to share!
I was so proud of them too. I might make one for my neighbour's little girl though Mum says they're moaning that she's having too much chocolate! Doh!
Easter gifts surely have to be chocolate based!
What I did was melted a pack of caramel galaxy promises with a little butter and added T's value cornflakes ensuring they were well covered in the mixture.
Then I used a pudding bowl to create a 'nest' shape with the mixture. Popped it in the freezer for 10 mins to set and then gently prised it out.
I plaited 1p Shrek witches hair laces and draped them around the nest. Then I melted milk choc (HK/Cars 1p buttons) in a bowl, unwrapped a Hello Kitty xmas ball tree dec, either drizzled the melted choc onto it or dipped half of the ball in it, then rolled them in 100's and 1000's or stuck smarties on or edible glitter etc etc. Pop in freezer to ensure they're set completely.
Each nest held 3 balls then I piled on lots of other sweets (1p HK/Cars buttons, 10p Cadbury snow bites, 25p tube of smarties, 1p Haribo sparkly stars, 1p Promises and a few 1p TCO segments) Then I sprinkled the whole lot with edible glitter courtesy of Smart1e and the £5 Ebay voucher (Thank you!!) Then I wrapped it in 99p Lidl cellophane and used pink and yellow raffia ribbon to tie it all up and pretty metallic card cut from a b'day card formed a pretty tag.
Know this is a little bit long winded but I wanted to illustrate how even if you don't have much money (and if you haven't been lucky enough to get eggs free on dtd) you can actually create amazing, unique gifts for very little money:T
Hope you're all well. Have I missed much?? :A
Thanks to Scamps for the new thread :T

I will eat a slice of chicken/turkey so long as theres no skin/bone, love my vodka prefer raw stuff to cooked so raw veg is my fave food, I don't like food where I cant seperate each item on the plate so no stews casseroles etc
Sounds familiar, but not quite as badBut I do eat foods in certain orders i.e. peas first then...
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

We got stuck in some god forsaken place that goes by the name of worksop and their tesco flatly refuse to serve alcohol after 11!!! Had to go to a little petrol station in the end just to buy a bottle of wine. Bloody joke if you ask me and I told the staff so too!!
Oh ok, maybe it's by region then?♥ I think of you as a sugary Welsh Cake

Dear Fudge_Cake
Several of us are on diets and would like you to stop torturing us with all this talk of chocolate, many thanks.
Yours, Miss Fondant Cake-Scoffingham
But seriously, you are so lovely making all these things, and they'll feel the love with which you made them xxxNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

I thought that went out a long time ago? They used to cordon off the booze aisles and they haven't done that for ages now......probably changed along with the drinking laws a few years ago....
That's incredibly filthy! Carry on

We liked this place and they have an overhead walkway which even I used
You need a day and great to take a picnic with you
OMG I went there! It's AMAZING!! There are walkways all around the animal park then two tiger walkways, one which is scaredy-cat and wheelchair/pushchair friendly and another that's higher and really narrow i.e. you can't stand except with one foot in front of the other.
I had a brilliant day there and would really recommend it, I'll try and find some photos if anyone wants to see them?No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023
