My mum finally called me. Yes, QOC the clinic did run late, and my mum had to go for another xray and to pick up some medicine from the pharmacy.
She is going to try hormonal therapy first - a drug called Arimidex, which she will take for 6 weeks. Then she'll go to a clinic to see how well the treatment is working. If her body doesn't respond too well to the treatment, she'll have to have chemo. She asked the Oncologist outright if she 'had a future', and the Oncologist said 'Yes'. So that's a huge relief. My mum knows that the secondary cancer is not curable, but it is treatable and she could still have several years left yet.
Thank you all so much again for caring. Knowing that you're 'there' has help me immensely, and I'm sure that I've felt you sending warmth and positive thoughts.
Fingers crossed now that this treatment helps and that my mum can eventually get some kind of normality back in her life. xx
Glad to hear this CG.0 -

Had a lovely tea tonight, chilli beef (had to put some tinned toms in as it was too beefy fo me, not enough veg) spooned on broken up OEP tacos, with a sprinkle of cheese on top. Very tasty!:money:
Then I saw this on pinterest and thought of you organised glitchers/wombles/couponers!:rotfl:

its the fact shes got her name and contact details on it that made me laugh, she must have so much invested in those files!
Ha Ha, that certainly beats my little plastic coupon wallet. I thought mine was substantial, obviously not!0 -

Hi everyone,
Don't know if anybody can help but my Channel 10 has gone - missing Miss Marple, Poirot, and Foyle's War so any advice would be welcome. x0 -

I know I'm going to dream about this photo tonight:rotfl:
I am a coward, and even if I found all that I would not have the guts to buy it all! Did you get it all in one go or in several goes?
I would love to be able to find some of those sweets for the school fair! (if they were still in date by then, 'elf and safety an all that!)
When you come across your 1p sweetie finds, bung them in a basket and cover them with a large box of cornflakes. At the SS till, pull them out from underneath, one at a time, at the till furthest away from the assistant. Try to do it when it is busy.
I got 37 packs of the cadbury mini eggs when they were 2 for 1p, I just totally blanked out what was going on around me and prayed the till didnt call for assistance.
Also when I put the sweets into the bagging area, I tended to 'shove/drop' them in the carrier to make sure the weight registered and it doesn't call for assistance.
Now go for it!0 -
