You didn't miss much- worth it if you happened to be near a shop, but otherwise more like a glorified taster...
children liked being given a sweet and glass of orange juice- and turning in their colouring pictures, but we had to ask politely if we had the right day because it was very much business as normal... without a sigh of a party

you'll get the next one! :)

Oh that's a shame :( I am glad I didn't make a special trip then, though I do have to go that way at some point this week, I've got 'a few' solar sunspray thingys on a goldie (28 days ending Sat) so I need to return those ;):D I daren't do it at my local, I try my best to stay under the radar!

Last time I went into HotelChoc I was given one of the new mango brulee eggs and that was very yummy :T I love free samples :rotfl:

Right then you 'orrible lot (and ML:heartpuls) I thought I'd have another go at a stew today given the weather! My first attempt a few weeks ago was ooooookkkkkk but I wasn't overly impressed with it so decided another go was in order!!

So here is what I did (feel free to comment).......

    BIG slow cooker.

Got some whoopsied mushrooms last night (6p) and stacks of salad onions (3p) and 2 bags of the soup/broth chopped veg mix (5p) so begin with I put 2 tins chopped tomatos into the slowy along with a pint or so of stock made with 3 veg oxo cubes.

In went 2 bags of the chopped veg, 4 bunches salad onions and a punnet of mushrooms, then wet a couple of spuds nicely cubed, 250g of mixed pulses which had soaked over night.

The freezer seems overrun with beef so ferreted out a kilo of caserole steak and a kilo brisket joint which were trimmed, cubed, fried off and tossed in too.

    Have I missed anything?

This was taken a few moments ago. Its barely luke warm yet but looks promising I think!!!

    stew.jpg

Looks really yummy, only thing I would add is a bay leaf (if you have any) and a splodgy of Worcester Sauce or a splodgy of red wine (personally i dont put garic in stew, you can make it yummy without).

I know whats missing from that picture a few of my dumplins :rotfl:

I'm not sure I dare comment on your dumplins!!! :p

One of the chopped tomatos was a carton with olive oil and garlic from the time Tesco paid us to buy em so it should have a wee bit of garlic in.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Hope it tastes nice and you are all welcome................its a bring your own bowl party! :)

I've just written a hugely long winded rant but realised it was like a novel so won't post it but I had a horrible experience at the park with DS where a woman started shouting at me. I am so angry :mad::mad: She was so unpleasant but I am impressed that I kept my cool and didn't stoop to her level

Lovely trout at Ts today. Got 4 bottles of wine at 9.99 but SEL was for 5. 49. She was away ages and then returned saying oh you looked at this SEl which is for a different wine! Would you like me to refund it if it's too expensive.

Me - shall I go and get the correct label for you?

Off I trot and return with the right SEL

    DTD then given!

Ps - could also have chosen champagne to get DTD on as plinth end display still showing half price but scanning at full. Left for anyone who knows my local.......

Hope your migraine disappears soon. They are horrible. Still, you're best off indoors, its vile out there :(

Your easter things sound lovely :T

I *think* SSM are sending the vouchers out in values...at the weekend loads of people recieved £10 vouchers (i think), Monday, people were getting £50 vouchers and reports so far all point to £25 not being sent out yet. My £50 was attempted delivery the other day, Name: Queen of Cheap

Hello to Mummy Fudge too

    :hello:Hello lovely lady:hello:

Thank you, me too! Hopefully the painkillers and anti-sickness will kick in shortly! I missed whoopsies last night so I need to try my luck tonight, though I've still got a few days supply of milk! (24 pints :p) :rotfl:And I need to go get my Natural selection dried fruit in A's as the coupons expire tomorrow. Will see how I feel though, no point pushing myself :)

It's not too bad here, chilly and dark grey skies but not had rain for a couple of hours now :)

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Queen of cheap! Did you have to go collect it at the sorting office?! What did you use as ID?! :rotfl:

I'm sure Mum would say Hello but she's in bed, feeling very ill herself :( Her back's terrible today, she can barely walk :( But I shall say Hello for her :hello:
    Enjoying your choccies?:EasterBun:EasterBun
