God it's quiet on here tonight. I guess this is what happens when there's no glitches and price check vouchers about.

Hopefully tesco starts getting their act together:D:D

Anyone interested in what we might expect come next wednesday?
Clarke, who succeeded the long-serving Sir Terry Leahy last year, is due to update the City with the company's full-year results on Wednesday. He is expected to put the brakes on opening big out-of-town stores and to spend hundreds of millions of pounds revamping existing shop outlets and improving its website.

I'm hoping they re-introduce double clubcard points... but doubt it will happen.

Smudge? that's the least of his problems. I'll be licking it off! I have a thing about tats and piercings.

    evening all.

I'm glad someone managed to get DTD on the Hardy stamp wine, took DS round 4 Ts to try and get it but all were up to date on their SELs :( Though I did see some 'suits' in talking to staff in 2 of these and overheard them in one talking about reducing DTDs due to OOD SELs so do think they are clamping down on this because the girl he was talking to said they had started to bring in extra night staff on Tuesdays to check dates/prices on the yellow SELs using the hand held scanners to minimise losses.

A big thank you to whoever said thank you to the original OP on the very reduced price on Lego Star Wars Wampa Cave set, I hadn't noticed this before then and spotted one today scanned at £8.50 so that's gone into my prezzie drawer/box.

I'm hoping for some good DTDs on stuff for hampers to raffle off for our summer scheme, we've been given our usual pittance of funding and need to raise a lot more for the trips because a lot of our kids this year come from very, very low income families and wouldn't be able to afford what we've charged in previous years and we don't want any of them to be left out so are planning to charge no more than £1 - £2 per trip (works out at no more than £20 for 4-5 weeks, less if more than 1 child in the family) depending on how much we have to pay for admittance and travel. Thankfully most of the trips are nearby so most of them will only be 50p but a few are a lot further away.
I just love how they think that a lot of families can afford to pay more than £40 per WEEK to send their child to one of their schemes, I'd love them to come a talk to some of our parents many work 2 jobs just to make ends meet and the rest lost their jobs but don't want their kids to miss out.
One has told me that her kids won't be at the scheme because the family can't afford to pay for more than one child and doesn't feel it would be fair to send one and not the other 2. I've told her to leave it with me and I'd see what the commitee says but can't see them making her pay for more than one when she's supported the scheme and after schools club for years. I've that meeting next Wednesday to see what they say but usually they just say for the parent to pay the registration fee only and not worry about the trip fee.
Should go well but if it doesn't we're trying to raise funds in other ways. I'm getting bags of sweets (12p ones) to sell and get us started, I'm hoping they go down well with our parents just have to get a better selection as so far have only got the love hearts and haribo heart gummies. Also thinking of asking about starting our tuck shop up again and getting reduced stuff to sell there to make a small proffit.

Sorry for long post, just typing as I'm thinking of things.

Logging off as have to write down some of my ideas to speak to our leader on Wednesday about and hope she'll let me do it :)
    Goodnight all

I know this is a bit off topic, but I just watched the channel 4 prog on the sinking of The Costa Concordia, so shocking. That Captain and most of the crew were terrible.

I've cruised before, and would again but I'm sticking to companies that have British, Scandinavian or North American officers - calmer in a crisis I think.

Oh does anyone know if T's Value cistern blocks are any good, or do they dissolve to nothing as soon as they hit the water?

I've used them and aren't too bad for the price (I think I paid 50p for the pack of 2) One lasted near a week so but that was with 3 people in the house all the time due to illness.

    rubbish evening :(

missed last woopsies :( really trying to get as much weekly shopping as possible this way as need to save some money up for work to be done around the house.

so I mooch around looking for' likely' items with no luck so get some milk and some other bits that are never whoopsied.
Pay and cheque reciept and have been over charged, totally innocently long story short cs wouldn't honour price didn't even get to talking dtd and to be honest would of been happy to have just got them at the said price (and stay under the radar) but was so fed up with the usual 'get out' excuses said nicely don't worry will ring hq tommorrow.
Well it was alot more long winded than that but don't want to go into details walls have ears and all that and it was such a store specific so not one to chase.

anyways now I feel all eeeeerm yucky and 'highlighted' and wish I'd just kept my mouth shut,I so don't want to be 'one of the watched' :o

    siigggggggggggh :(:o

sorry just need my 'elite/cyber friends' :)
