I bought 5 of them on Monday thinking that the offer had expired and was hoping for a nice DTD. As there's no scanner in my store, I didn't know until they went through the checkout that they were still £1. I ended up taking 3 back to customer services for a refund with a very lame excuse "I've just remembered my husband prefers baths to showers so these would last him for years".
Thanks, have entered my receipt so will wait and hope for JTD.:D0 -

What a horrible evening! Had a call that mum has shattered her hip and has to have surgery tomorrow

Poor thing.
No spend day for me today. Am hanging on til Friday when I will top up my milk at whoopsie time. Need to stay within budget as I hate failing at things.
Now, what can I make that will stay fresh for a few days that my dad can eat? Poor guy was warming up some tinned rice pudding when i left at 10.30. When i asked he confessed it was the first thing he had eaten !!!!
Hmmmm... *scratches head whilst considering meal options*:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Not great advice despite coming from a healthcare professional!

ok caught up now, had a look in T's and S today at easter reductions. Had a brand match voucher for £2.47 so used that to get a few reduced bags of sweets and some lindt eggs(99p in S at mo:eek:) then went to T's where all i got were some cookie cutters for 24p. Quite nice big cutters too so will definitely be using them with the children.littleladybug wrote: »Evening all, need some advice from anyone able to help as I think I am about to lose the plot with DD
Our latest drama involves me having a good scrub out of the loo (sorry, sounds like it was really grim in the first place, I did clean it but it was limescaled up so gave it a major scrub and got rid of all the limescale the other day). Anyway, she is now refusing to go to the loo. I put in a bloo type thing which I have now got rid of as thought that was the problem but to no avail. We have had numerous wet clothes and at nighttime dirty pull-ups coz she refuses to use the bathroom. I don't know what to do with her, she starts school in September
This morning she had a complete meltdown because she couldn't get all her cheerios submerged below the milk in her bowl. I'm concerned she's showing signs of OCD or even autistic tendencies but then socially she is absolutely fine? Am I just being a paranoid mother and she's a normal 3 year old or should I be concerned??
Sounds a bit like my DS. He has only recently (last few months) started using the toilet, he is also starting school in September. He wears night time nappies as not dry then yet but hasn't had any accidents in the day. My main worry with him though is that he is refusing to do number 2 on the toilet and holds it in all day until he gets his night time pants on.
I am convinced he is a little OCD as he has set ways of doing things and has to follow the same routines each time, the most annoying part though is his fussy eating- everything on the plate has to be separate and not touching. he will not eat food mixed together and will not eat chips/bread/potato etc if there is sauce from other food on it.
Hopefully they will grow out of it eventually0 -
Good Evening. Hugs to those that need it...apologies I skimmed read and didn't note who said what but remember that there's been more bad news for some of us .
I agree that T's seems to have hidden alot of the easter stuff. Popped in there today and picked up a tiny plastic easter table cover and it scanned at £1.64 or something!! So just left with my favourite Cheesey tiger loaf!! mmmmm.0 -
Went for a wander aroundT's tonight found a few bits for DTD but didn't buy them. Wasn't in the mood.

Hi Aunty ... good news is that you don't need a new ariel for digital TV ... just a freeview box if you don't have a digital TV. HTH
THe reason i went over to cable in the first place was because I got such a poor picture on tv. I had someone fit a new ariel when i first moved in but when he tuned in chanel 5 he lodt bbc1 and BBC2, blamed it on something in the way between mast and the aeriel.
AS I was already with a cable company they added the tv for a couple of pounds extra, then I got bought up by virgin and price went up and service went down.
I have actually got a freeview box somewhere in the house but it didnt work tried it at my mums round the corner and it worked perfect so freeview box was not the problem.0 -
whoops the guylian are now all gone:o
