Someones has just posted about finish powerball tablets in asda. £2 a box, with a £3 voucher inside. Buy 2 boxes for £4, get £6 in vouchers to buy 3 boxes with to get £9 in vouchers to get 3 more boxes to get £12 in vouchers (£3 held over) to buy 6 boxes with to get £18 in vouchers to buy 9 boxes with etc.etc...

you could do this with a £2 spend originally, then add a pound to your £3 voucher and then start voucher spending....

    I dont have dishwasher:(
Mind you finish starter packs from DTD days still in garage.

What a horrible evening! Had a call that mum has shattered her hip and has to have surgery tomorrow
It's horrible to see someone you love in pain :(
    Poor thing.

No spend day for me today. Am hanging on til Friday when I will top up my milk at whoopsie time. Need to stay within budget as I hate failing at things.

Now, what can I make that will stay fresh for a few days that my dad can eat? Poor guy was warming up some tinned rice pudding when i left at 10.30. When i asked he confessed it was the first thing he had eaten !!!!
Hmmmm... *scratches head whilst considering meal options*

:( Awww JJ after you were feeling so rubbish yourself yesterday, what terrible news, your poor Mum. How's your back today? Hope you're feeling a bit stronger physically atleast.

Good luck for Mum's op tomorrow, I hope everything goes to plan :A So lovely of you to be taking care of your Dad too, I'm sure he'll appreciate some of your wonderful cooking :T

    Good evening all!
DS done the barefoot walk, not sure how many people they got but seemed like an awful lot there. It poured and I got soaked through, stopped long enough for them to do the walk though. They also raised money for Tear fund and another charity. For every person registered to do the walk they donated £1, DS was well impressed!!! Exhausting day, must have walked the route 6 times :)
Getting late so will say goodnight all!

  • Only partially true. Loads of it is simply genetics.

My mate eats total crap.....many packs of crisps a day, virtually no fruit or veg. Loads of pizzas, chinese etc. His cholesterol is at the low end of normal.

On the other hand my eating habits whilst not perfect are far better than his yet my cholesterol is through the roof.

What will probably happen in the future is kids will get their genes screened and then risk profiles given them so they can take procautions against things they are at risk of and ignore those they are not at risk from.

Agree with you here, my diet used to be awful!! I would eat far too much, too quickly, and it would all have a high fat content etc. I've never been bigger than a size 10 and my cholesterol at last check was 2.8.

I've since had to change my eating habits because I can no longer digest fat properly, (pancreas problems due to arthritis medication), but I am now under weight and energy levels are sapped, and I really struggle to put weight on. I think some people find putting on weight as difficult as those trying to lose it sometimes.

MIL lives on rabbit food, soya milk, no alcohol, no gluten etc etc, she has high cholesterol and high blood pressure, and can't lose weight despite being so careful.
