    afternoon.

i got a very nice DTD on a a very posh kettle. my son was telling the cs lady that i was entitled to DTD as its tesco fault.:eek:

to which she replied. "i have been working here since 1998 and i know my job." she then went to give me £10 back, to which my son said "uhmmm shouldnt that be £20?"

*note to self* go shopping without son.

Am I allowed to ask which kettle it was and how much you were o/charged pls?

My 11 yr old DD is absolutely NOT allowed to stand near me at the CS desk she also has to be reminded (if sent to the scanner to check a price) NOT to shout 'Yes its 1p' really loud. But she is useful for scouring new stores for working price check machines.:D

I did 3 years teaching training for my degree so undertook 3 placements and I was lucky, all 3 were great with me being offered a job at the last one where I still I am.

But not everyone gets 3 good placements I knew students who had bad experiences and dropped out, some in their third year which is a real waste.

Tell her to keep in contact with the placement that offered her a position, is she close enough to perhaps do a bit of voluntary work there to keep her hand in? As in teaching it's often who you know and a personal reference that can jet you a job at the end of it.

No not quite near enough to do any voluntary work once home. But she is still registered with the charity she volunteered at through the summer so I would imagine she may do some more there. Will all depend how close to home she is placed. Time will tell. :)

That's one of my locals! ;)

Gosh P00le is becoming popular. :D Was it just an Express you visited as just along the road from Westbourne there is a normal store, often bargains to be found as I don't think many people are brave enough to try them as there is no scanner there. Have often forgotten my purse there too. :rotfl:

P00le is a lovely part of the UK, envy you living there..:) Was the normal store, the one with 2 entrances to the carpark. Visit that store often when down that area, just always very busy.
