I put a few wet ones on the dashboard thinking they would dry out. They did - but the ****** things stuck to the dashboard as they dried and my DH was seriously hacked off with me. It took him ages to scrape all the bits out of the textured surface.

My car seats are leather so these are excellent for unravelling soaked paper and drying out receipts. I went to Asda all on my own last week and it was monsoon season again but I found a nice receipt, dried it on the car seat, tried it in the APG machine next morning and got £2 odd :T Well worth getting drenched for :D

Not terribly exciting, but T, value mushy peas are only 8p.:)

It's the cheapest I've seen them at, so I wonder if the value stuff is coming down in price now because of the re-branding.

I wont post a picture of my mushy pea mountain as it's a bit boring, but I am searching for recipes that use mushy peas!!:rotfl:

Got this off a regular on here and very tasty it is and easy to do. :)

Hope they don't mind me posting the recipe. Mushy pea curry. They did post a pic.

The sauce is made with 2 tins mushy peas, 1 tin baked beans and 1 tin tomatoes, curry spices
(I used curry powder, coriander, cumin, garlic powder and chilli powder) and blitz till smooth.
Then stir fry veg and meat, stock cube and add the sauce, simmer for 20 mins and voila.
Sounds disgusting but tastes like chinese/chippy curry.
Makes a ton of sauce but I freeze it in portions for later

These have always been 27p, I always buy them for this reason they are a bargain and I am a [STRIKE]cheapskate[/STRIKE] savvy shopper! I tried value coffee  for the first time recently as coffee is SO expensive , the value stuff is not too bad at all, better than some I've had in B&M's for a much higher price. And only 47p for 100g!

I do think some of the value stuff will come down in price with the new packaging, worth keeping an eye out!

Although with that logic in mind, does that mean the new packaged value stuff will cost more?I bet it will..
