Bless you both, have scoured manual, such as it is, but there isn't one.

Am slowly coming to conclusion it may be nacked and it isn't me -which is progress in its own way! :) Thank you both and Milo - I love this thread. xxx

Are you looking for mute on the speakers or your computer?

On your screen, have you got a set of icons along the bottom right hand corner and an arrow pointing to the left? If you have, press the arrow and see if a little speaker symbol comes up...click that and it should take you to your sound settings. Or you can go through control panel to get the same

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

Okay folks. I know I haven't been around as much as usual and no doubt have missed out as a result. Going to try and get myself back in line and in order (please feel free to send me electronic slaps if needed).

Reason is a good one mind....had a lot going round in my head (and still have tbh). We're on the edge financially and have had some news.

Pitter patter of more diddy feet in October. And after my 2 Miscarriages I've been a nervous wreck. Now I know that splodge is ok....its the money stuff that is worrying me like mad. However, with a 5 year old and one on the way there's nothing much I can do about that except be here and be as thrifty as I possibly can.

So any prods, slaps, suggestions gratefully received. Will try to keep my feet on the ground and in here.

What wonderfully happy news for you :) Do hope all will be well for you

i had two coupons(one for me one for friend)
    went to tesco
got 2 packs of 9.98 one (offer on 2 for 15)
sa put the discount 9.98 each.
so they paid me £4.98 to take it away
i just want to say huuuugeee thnaks to op again
my boy is 4 years old and he started potty training ages ago but we still need nappies and i think hopefully these packs will be enough until he finishes his training :)
    czerniacha wrote: »
I did the same yesterday :p took two of the big packs, SA questioned lower coupon value, didn't notice the 2for15 promo and I just said 'you must have very expensive nappies then':p asked a manager and been told to give me free nappies
good job also that the huggies pure wipes look just like the nappies on the 2GBP off moc(those weren't questioned as scanned straight away) and I had two mocs and wipes are b1g1f

re the huggies coupons, don't want to sound like an old stick in the mud but i don't agree with doing this, the coupon itself says a pack to the value of £6 something doesn't it, i know it is only small print but i think it would be good to try not to encourage misuse of coupons, we all have soooo many problems getting coupons accepted anyway that deliberate misuse will only to the longterm risk of coupon usage being clamped down on-sorry.................where's the sofa??!!

My daughter has just phoned to say that the trousers I bought for the boys several weeks ago have both still got security tags on
I can't find the ruddy receipt either

Has anyone had a problem taking things back to have the tags removed?.....I don't want them thinking I pinched them :(

there are lots of you tube videos on this, i once took one back to the store that i put away from the xmas sales -no receipt and explained it was something i had just put away for the kids, guy removed the tag no problem. I would say to them if i was a thief i wouldn't come back here to ask for the security tag to be removed would i??:rotfl:

    anyway

got my clean campaign wins through-masacra and facial wipe thingies
also think one of my love to vouchers must have come through as postie left a card,

also picked up 8 more cards from WHSmith

Big thanks to Looby for her encouragement and advice to retry, i was trouted initially in one of my locals and was too chicken to retry but have been to sevreal different SA's now and they all seem pretty relaxed about letting me take a few at a time, only problem is I've cleaned them out of the blue gift cards:eek::eek::eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl:

must put my receipts through the pricechecker just not got the energy and they are piling up again:mad::mad::mad:
can anyone remember if they process them over the bank holiday period, i seem to remember in DTD days they didn't?????

    how are y'all anyways???

ps izzyb any TPO's left pls or did you clear the shelf?? dconblue any chance you could pm me which store had the lindt bears in??? , i'm coming to manchester tomorrow :T:T:T only for an hour or two (to pick someone up) not sure i'll manage to do much damage to your locals in that time but can have a go lol!:A
