Hi
My marriage has ended after 14 years, the lieing cheating rat finally left and initiated the divorce thank goodness because even though i am better off without him i know, it would of been hard for me to make that decision. Anyway to cut a very long story short, i want to change my surname to my maiden name, what title do i adopt, miss or ms? i have no idea, thanks
you can be whatever you want to be nadi. I chose my mother's maiden name as i dislked my own one. You can also choose whatever title you want. I am Ms but you can be Mrs Newname or Miss, the choice is yoursMortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0 -
I am still a Mrs and still have my married name....
Caused some confusion when ex hubby visited the area last year bringing his new wife and she went to a hairdresser I was registered with, they asked her name and she said Mrs (my surname) and they said "Nice to see you again Sue".
She went a bit red but ex hubby thought it was hysterical. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Sorry, People, look at the date this was first posted. It's over 3 years old now. I think she's probably sorted her name by now. I'm guessing the person who ressurected the thread is a spammer. What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0

I am a married Ms. and was once a single Ms. if I were to divorce I would be a divorced Ms. I personally, would keep my surname in the event of divorce as I didn't like my maiden name.0

i've always gone for ms. and i haven't changed my surname even though i'm married. this is perfectly normal for the majority of humans on the planet who don't seem to find an issue with children having a different family name. i don't see the point in changing my name - it just makes things complicated having to change documents. plus it's annoying when you can't find old friends through social network sites because they've got married.
blokes don't find it necessary to change their name when they marry. why do western women? Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0
