They certainly didn't pay for models or make up artists, must have just been two ladies who work at HQ!0

They have testers that go into wherever? and do more in depth tests etc. other than just tick a few boxes like we do. I think you can tell from the last picture test and the long one we had a while ago that they are 'everyday' ladies from all ages etc. and not ones with perfect complexions.
Home User Studies
Volunteers are asked not to use 2 new products on the same area of the body at the same time. This allows us to distinguish which product, in the event of a reaction, has caused the reaction.
Volunteers are advised to read through the questionnaire, including directions of use and any warnings, prior to use. This avoids misuse of the product and informs the volunteer of the types of product attributes they are expected to comment on.
The test product’s ingredient list is included in its questionnaire; volunteers with allergies to any of the ingredients should return the product sample with the questionnaire.
Products are allocated on a first come first served basis therefore samples are not guaranteed.
Controlled In-house Studies
Controlled In-house Studies are studies that require the volunteers to visit the evaluation suite and include:- Focus Groups
- Moisturisation studies
- Skin studies
- Sun Protection Factor studies
- Patch Testing
- No Tears studies
- Dental studies
- Sensory testing

Was not slating the models they used, or their age, or their complexions.... the lipsticks were applied on some of them as though they'd been put in a dark room with no mirror.... pretty shocking really as it's a Boots test!!! I know Boots do the 'in house' tests... have done a couple of them myself! But think they could have chosen people who could apply lipstick 'properly'!0
