BargainBird, sorry to hear news of dog, its so sad they are like part of the family
Jenny Hello, you will find everyone very nice on here.

Been carrying on with my spring cleaning today, sure Tinkerbell must live here secretly, all that dust could only have been made by a fairy!! 2nd lot of washing out as luckily here in the south its bright and dry. Tea tonight will be toad in the hole, will make extra batter so kids can have pancakes for breakfast tomorrow. Just need them to empty dishwasher so reloading can be done.

Think its time for a cuppa, thoughts to all.

    Afternoon all,

Cold, windy but bright here to-day....planned on a day in the garden but had call from friend who retired last month to meet for coffee....cue fast shower instead of waiting until after efforts in garden....turned into an almost 3 hour chat, haven't met for a while so had to set the world to rights! Home now sneezing for Ireland so no gardening methinks.

Dinner to-night will be steak, broccoli, peppers and baked spuds, with some of last year's rhubarb with custard to follow, then babysitting for DGS2 while DD4 goes to yoga.

Stripped bed this morning, now washed and on banisters to dry, must remake bed as have been know to forget and OH is incapable!

    tru...intrigued by your post.

Welcome Jenny, stay with us as we are not a bad lot (really)!

Hugs to all with sickly offspring or not feeling too clever themselves...take it easy.

    Hello Jenny :hello:

    bargainbird, that's so sad

Sorry but I'm completely wrapped up in myself at the moment, I'm staying away from other people's bad/sad news. Even though most of it is worse than mine :o

So I've just thought 'sod it'. I'm sick of being careful while the other person is ringing/texting/contacting my all of my son's friends, being nasty. Son's ex has hit him on a number of occasions, ripped his clothes while grabbing him when he's trying to leave her house and locked the door so he's had to escape out of the window. The last time, she split his lip (it ran from inside, over his lip and down the front, IYSWIM) and he told her if she hit him again, he'd hit her back. So she immediately gave him a black eye and left a cut on his eyelid. He carried out his promise, one bruise on her leg and marks on her arm where he grabbed her and pushed her away. She spends the next few days constantly ringing and texting him, begging him to come back and saying how much she loves him, etc. He ignores her so she rings me. I make it very clear that he IS NOT going back to her. She gets her revenge by ringing the police, he's arrested. He went to court a few weeks ago, pleaded not guily and has to go back next wednesday.

I've left out loads of details, will let you know when it's over.

I'm shaking as I'm typing this, you have no idea how good it feels to get that out in the open.

    Evening all

Lou - glad scan went well
    Welcome Jenny!

Cold and rainy here today :(

Had another fab morning with my work kids working with old people, they were great today! :) But a not so great afternoon in the office. My colleagues got a new group of work kids who started last week and my god are they a nightmare  I had to intervene and attempt to break up 2 separate fistfights between teenage boys today! One ended up punching out the striplight. All 4 were dimissed immediately once we had dealt with it all. Phew, hectic!

Lots of uni work to do tonight. Just having a debate with myself about what to have for tea, either stirfry, fajitas, omelette or cheese pie!! :rotfl: I keep changing my mind.

OS wise - dishes washed, recycling bin scrubbed out, clothes need putting away.

    Have a good evening all
