Wireless Adaptor for desktop?

If your PC is reasonably close to the router you do not need a wireless connection at all! Cable is much better (quality speed reliability) and you probably already have one with the router. 5metre cables can be purchased for longer distances.
However you may not wish to have a cable running between the two, but that is down to your personal preference.0 -
I agree with Ainsley. If you can connect a cable that will be the best option. You can then SHARE the CD-ROM drive so the laptop can use it. This all depends on your networking skills though.....
Another option is to use the ISO format if you can and create a virtual DVD-Rom allowing you to create and mount images. Maybe this is not what you have in mind though.
2 cents... stay away from Netgear WPN Dongles.... I've had bad experiences with these.0
