Worst rejection letters

There is no such thing as too experienced, but people will be wary about employing someone who has worked in financial sales for 10 years, been made redundant and had a year looking for work, but is now applying for a job working in retail. - they will probably be scared that you will take the job until something new comes up, which wastes time and money for the company doing so.
About the unemployed, I love working with unemployed people as you can start quicker! If you can actually have proof that you have been unemployed and have been looking for work then there is no reason someone shouldn't employ you. The only problem I have had with this is someone telling me he was unemployed for a year ..... yet he was in prison!
I see jobs every day and even my old company advertised a 'junior' just the other day. I see jobs saying 1-2 years experience and all sorts. Are you really seriouly saying this is agains the law? How so? Yet they can advertise 'we do not want any unemployed applying'
There is such a thing as too much experience, sorry. You would not employ a Management Accountant to do a junior accounts role paying NMW therefore they are over qualified.0 -
Can I turn this thread on its head please?
I am currently in the process of reviewing 68 CVs that I received in response to an advert for one administrative post.
I have already sent out 68 'holding' responses, telling candidates that, due to the large number of applications received, it will take me a while to review them all, but assuring them that I will be back in touch as soon as possible.
It therefore follows that in due course I will need to send out 67 rejection letters. How should I phrase these, as clearly the terminology I have used previously is unacceptable.
Many thanks.
Sheesh, thats not rocket science is it?If you have not heard from us by <date> please assume your application was unsuccessful.
Despite being the bright one with the ideas companies like you ignore people like me or treat us like trash.when you do employ us.0
