What's your source? £10 a month is £10 more than I'm paying now for my Reward account.

i received a letter last month saying ' we've been looking at the way the ultimate reward current account works and we're making it more straight forward. So, from 1ST May 2012, if you've paid in £1000 or more into your ultimate reward current account in the previous calender month, instead of charging you an account fee of £15 a month and then give you a reward payment of £5, we'll simply charge you a monthly account fee of £10'

It shows in my account usually on 2nd of each month as I said but is credited on 1st of month

It has been that way ever since I have had a reward account over a year ago because I always check on 1st/2nd of each month and sometimes more. I have 4 accounts and each one is normal paid on 2nd but is credit for 1st

It depends on what day of the week the 1st is - if the 1st and 2nd are working days then it will show on the 2nd, this month the 1st was Sunday so will show on the 3rd as this is the second working day.

Ah I see - I hope the standard "Reward" account will continue as is.

I received my 2 x £5 rewards today. I do wonder how long Halifax will continue this though... am I the the only one doing the following: -

    - 2 halifax accounts earning £10 a month total rewards
    - pay a few hundred quid into one and bounce back and forth between the two accounts, before withdrawing back into savings account (all on the same day)
    - maintaining balance of a couple of quid in both

personally i hope this continues for a long time to come - £10 for 5 minutes work per month isn't too bad :)
