ECP = eurocarparts direct
Using your car details you can get
2x Pagid front discs for £88
Pagid pads for 314mm discs are £78
So to buy yourself the parts are £166
Only you can ask the fitting price from your independent garage on top.
Hope that helps.0 -
Thanks.
Whats the difference between part no 101441178 and part no 101441248.

Ignore that, answered my own question click More Details on the page.0 -

Driving smartly, you can get from A-B with no problem without applying your brake using your gears to slow you down. It's something I do often.
On an automatic box, this is a lot more difficult. However, using the tiptronic it can be done.0 -
Think I can get the Pagid set of pads and discs for £337.88.
So be worth my contacting my garage, asking them if they can find me price to do Pagid, and give me breakdown to see what they can do.
How long does it take roughly to fit pads and discs?0 -

I cannot believe he came out with that line, after saying what he did.
Totally contradictory, and trying to be smart at the same time.
A combo that NEVER works, and always results in looking an idiot.0 -
Do Audi really employ engineers to work on their cars, if so i can fully understand why their costs are so high.
Most dealerships employ mechanics or technicians of various grades.0 -

How much could you get the same parts for here? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
£308.
Tho I am not sure which of the two or three options are suitable for mine.0 -
Yes, Pagid are one of VW-group OEM suppliers. Really good quality parts.
BTW, brakes are better at braking than engine/transmission. In fact, auto transmissions don't cope too well with the extra heat generated. Brake pads are the sacrificial braking part so use them. It's cheaper to replace pads than a torque converter."Retail is for suckers"

Yes I know. I don't use gears to slow personally, only if the weather means braking can be hazardous (ice).
But if my previous pads at £151 for front and rear fitted lasted since Jul 09, is it worth DOUBLE that value, before labour?0
