Zest Property Solutions 'Removal man with a van'' offer -timewasters

Avoid Zest Property Solutions Services and their Removal service at all cost. They are currently running several removal offers through the likes of Gumtree , which we took advantage of the offer (£29 for a man and a van removal service in Central London for 2 hours). From the off-set they were flaky, not responding to emails and taking their time to respond to phone messages. The day of the removal was today and we were all ready with everything boxed and waiting for them to arrive having eventually being given the arrival time between 8-10am from their representative named Mo. Come 10am they had still not arrived, we called Mo only for him to firstly not even be aware of the job even though we'd confirmed it with him via email and over the phone the week before, he eventually suggested we should have had a call from the driver of the van, which we hadn't, so he said he would call the driver and get back to us. The call back from him didn't happen as we suspected. We tried to call him back only to have the calls go to his voicemail. Hasten to add we left him a voicemail for wasting our time.
Moving home is one of the most stressful times in your life as it is without ZestServices.co.uk adding to the stress and not even turning up, calling us back or apologizing for their lack of service, a service we had already paid for through Gumtree. Their website states how they pride themselves on their services offered and always deliver what they promise!!! could have fooled me.
We will be seeking a full refund from Gumtree on behalf of this shoddy service and a warning to anybody thinking of using these guys service, do yourselves a favour and AVOID AVOID AVOID, the company seems to have quite a back history of negative reviews on-line, just wish we'd checked on-line first and avoided these time wasters. It seems they not only offer removal services but also house cleaning, oven cleaning, boiler inspections etc etc and currently have offers for these services also, so if their removal service is anything to go by i'd give these offers a wide berth also.

I concur with this 100%, my last move with them in April 2012 was rendered twice as stressful due to their ineptness.

I had purchased cleaning services as well as removal services, both of which they completely stuffed up.

I booked the removals (2 men with van) for Thursday afternoon and cleaning for Friday morning.

Removals - 1) Their cleaning man actually came on Thurs morning, they had mixed up the booking and when I said he couldn't clean that day the man was rude and left in a huff. That should have been the first clue.

2) Removals men were booked for 2pm but didn't show up. I kept calling Mo who did not answer and finally around 6pm I got through; he said the removalists had been booked for Friday morning which was THE OTHER WAY ROUND. He first insisted that nothing can be done but eventually found 1 guy (instead of 2) who would come at 7.30pm. A total of 5.5 hrs late!

3) Because there was only 1 man it took more than 2 hrs. He tried charging me for the extra time!! Ridiculous.

4) Cleaning man - came to do end of tenancy cleaning on the Friday morning but guess what, it only took 2 hours. I had gone to work so in retrospect this fact should have alerted me to their incompetence. This cleaning resulted in me having £150 deducted from my deposit; everything was still dusty and the bathroom still had mould. Steam cleaning also a shambles, the check out clerk was of the opinion the person didn't know how to operate the steam cleaner properly.

All in all a total shambles, I purchased a voucher through Money Supermarket and they kindly refunded my money and blacklisted them as a supplier. Would avoid at all costs.
