HELP Big family & the dishwasher broke. Any good ones?

thanks to you all for your advice.
I need a dishwasher because although I came from a family who "all mucked in" none of my brothers and sisters suffered disabilities, but despite that, I actually prefer the dishwasher because it is more hygienic and uses less water.
Thanks again to you all for replying.
Best wishes

We have a Bosch now ( for the last three years) it's a built in one so it was a little dearer than a free standing one, our previous one was a Hotpoint we had it from 1993 and I am advised it's still going strong at my friend's house.0

we currently have smeg 14 place setting A rated DW rather than usual 12 with 5 yrs warranty for 299 should be avail;able from all smeg specialists countrywide, at least i think its still current. Orbital arm system gives the best wash profile0

Our Bosch has been on twice a day for the last 6 years. It's the only machine in the kitchen that never gives us any trouble!

Mine has just `died` at the beginning of the week and I didnt want to go to Currys so I ordered from the John Lewis website. Really fancied the Miele but ordered the John Lewis one which was £329.0

I've heard that Bosch ain't what they used to be, but I was also told, after I had bought a Candy that I had made a big mistake, and that was 10 years ago!
I'm would really like something that lasts...does anything nowadays.
Any and all advice gratefully accepted.
Thanks,

Hi,
hope you're fixed up with dishwasher by now, it's been nearly a week, unless of course you have plenty of crockery, and have just let it pile up. :rotfl:0 -
Thanks, frugalmacdugal but still can't make my mind up.
The Smeg with the 5 year guarantee looks interesting and it is shocking the differences in price depending where you go. Trouble is we should replace it with another semi-integrated but for some reason they tend to be about £200.00 extra.
Meanwhile we just keep cleaning up as we go...0
