Can anyone please suggest a good reliable dishwasher?
I've heard that Bosch ain't what they used to be, but I was also told, after I had bought a Candy that I had made a big mistake, and that was 10 years ago!
I'm would really like something that lasts...does anything nowadays.
Any and all advice gratefully accepted.
Thanks,
D

Our dishwasher broke 2 weeks ago and was beyond repair - we've been recommended either a Bosch or a Miele. I think this time we're going for the Miele as we don't want to be buying yet another dishwasher within the next three years. I read somewhere that Miele are expected to last up to 20 years (and can be upgraded as and when the technology advances).
They are pretty pricey, but if you go for a model without the bells and whistles then you get a reasonable machine (AAA rated) for less than £400, plus if you go through Quidco you can get cashback on electrical purchases from John Lewis...
 Hope this helps

(Who's still got an empty space in the kitchen where the dishwasher used to be  )0

We have a Miele dishwasher and it is OUTSTANDING! Expensive but definitely worth every penny. They arean't the prettiest looking things but thats exactly why they last, by avoiding all the fancy frilly bits that tend to snap off and break.
I am registered on ukwhitegoods forums and its basically run by repairmen, they always recommend Miele for most things0

That's where we got our recommendation from (and how we found out it was beyond repair!!). ukwhitegoods has saved us quite a lot of money over the past couple of years (we have a temperamental washing machine too....)

agreed and you get free family bonding thrown in.
i dont really like dishwashers, they never seem to do that great a job and its easier just to toss pans etc in the sink to soak for a bit then its all easy to clean.0

Can certainly recommend Bosch, we have had one for eight years, used every day without a moments trouble.0
