I too have a nilfisk they are every bit as good it not better than Karcher. Cant believe how so much better it is than my last cheapo pw was. Not only saves on power but water too. Motor turns off once you let go off trigger and because its so much more powerful it saves time too
Mien costs £90 off ebay and came with attachments

I have this Nilfisk from Screwfix. Not the most powerful by any means but really well made and works surprisingly well £80 delivered with the patio cleaning tool. Gets the car clean easily enough.

We’ve just bought a new Kärcher K2.400 T50 1600W Pressure Washer – wouldn’t you know it – ours conked out today when we decided to do the patio before the ban. Anyway, we got ours from Costco and it is much cheaper than elsewhere – a £60 saving – so it is 2/3 rds of the price compared to Sainsbury’s.

LPM is important as in Litres Per minute, thats what counts along with the right nozzle.
The average DIY washer gives between 7-9 LPM at 1000psi (Pounds per square inch) , I have a 2600psi machine that was run by Honda engine this gave out 13-15 ltrs per minute. The more LPM the better trhe results. Smaller LPM meand the nozzle outlet is alos smaller and therefore has less force.
A turbo nozzle is also needed to wash paving. This spins a -0.5mm jet covering about 200mm circles at once.
NONE of the DIY washers I have seen are designed for large area cleaning and all should carry a MAXIMUM run rate before it should be turned off to cool. (a Very short time in most cases) Also look for auto cut off, ie the motor stops when you let the trigger go, this prolongs pump life.
Karcher, are OK though they do make a budget range which do not compare with their commercial units.
PS the hose to the gun is always too damn short....0 -
Looking at buying a Nilfisk from Amazon (cheapest supplier) Karcher lasted three months and replacement just failed. Problem with the cheaper Karcher is the plastic pump, Nilfisk have the aluminium pump.0
