You should have told them to restract the bid. File a NPB.
Might stop them wasting other sellers time.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Op cannot file a NPB as she has already opened a mutual.:wall:
Op, as is said above, it will time out in 7 days and you can close it to get your fees back.0 -
Buyers cannot retract their own bids in last few hours unless it is within an hour of bidding, so the ebay system will have told buyer to contact seller to arrange for bid to be cancelled as sellers can cancel at any time.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Would've been eaasier to cancel the bids before the end, that way you would have avoided the risk of losing FVFs.
It's all very well wanting the sale to go through, but if the buyer has indicated that they are no longer interested you'ren asking for trouble if you try an force the sale.0 -
The buyer hasn't responded to the case and seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. I opened it on the 2nd at about 11pm so in theory I can close it last thing tomorrow.
Given that they most certainly do not want the dress, do you think that I would be safe to relist it (or make a brand new version of the same auction) before the case closes to avoid missing the free listings this weekend?
I don't really want to have an auction ending at 11pm if I can help it so it either gets listed before or I'd wait for another free listing weekend.0 -

I would risk relisting it at this stage. They obviously don't want it.
If they pay before you close the case (and that doesn't look like happening) you can cancel the new listing.0 -
Thanks for that. I've just relisted it and should I need to, I'll cancel the relisting.0
