had a bargain at my local Mr C today, they had my favourite Foxes Classic choccie bar packs reduced to 89p as they go out of date in 17 days, and they are still on BOGOF, so after the discount they were costing 14.5p per pack of 5, then I had my 10% discount so they cost me 13p a pack :rotfl: . . . . I bought 10 packs :o

Just rang my mate to tell her and she insisted on poor Jake going back and getting her some and when he returned he had a lovely £2 coin in the change so in the pot its gone :D :j :D :j

I'm gonna count up my sealed pot soon and take it up the bank. I hate the thought of it sitting there not getting interest on it.

I haven't put anything in my pot for ages. Tonight I promise to put all my change from my purse in the pot! There's not much, but better than nowt I guess!

    Morning everyone
raided DW's purse last night and relocated a lot of change (about £2 worth) safely tucked away in the sealed pot for safe keeping. Another £2 coin & a 50p intot he Chicago & New York 2013 spending fund - Waiting for the pools man to bring me some more this morning.

Finishing work today for a full 10 days off, going to recharge the batteries & finish off all the work in the house that needs doing.

It's a cool one out there today, so wrap up well, stay safe & keep saving

I have been quietly potting away :rotfl:

But as money is getting tighter, I am finding I need to SPEND more of the coins I get, rather than save them so motivation was getting a bit low.

Decided to count up how I have done so far and see if that perked up my potting motivation!! :D

    :T £138.96 :T

And that's just me here on my own and trying to save the odds and ends in my purse, everytime I have been out and spent money.

Yay for Sealed Pot Potting and this lovely thread!! :j

As Ruth has pointed out, 5monkey, I'm afraid that, as things stand, you're not a member of the SPC, possibly the Virtual SP instead perhaps? If you wish to join us though thn we'd love to welcome you into the fold. :grinheart

Thanks very much for that, Ruth, very efficient indeed! :A Here's a start :staradmin just don't tell the twins J-M & LC2!

Thanks so much, ETO, very kind indeed. :)

Anything's better than nowt, allybee101, just be happy with what you're able to save in difficult times.

Woooo-haaaay SteffieLou!!! :T The first roadkill is always exciting, but to find a £1 is fantastic news!!!!!

You do whatever you're happiest with, Fredula, but please pop the amount on your siggy for me. Thanks.

Hi Emily and lovely to see you popping in for a mo. Good to see you saving.

You have a lovely break, sparky and enjoy it all.

Don't worry too much, fozziebeartoo, you're not alone as it's happening to many of us. Do what you can and be happy with it. :)
Nothing in the pot for me yet today, may have some later - if I'm lucky.
    Have a wonderful Easter, everyone!

    Keep safe and healthy everyone.
