That's fantastic mumof3plusoh! Debt free sounds really good.
I potted a twenty note today - 12 from the dreaded shirt ironing, 6.73 VAT refund and the rest a round up to make it easy as I had no change!
Bad news is that I filed my tax return and I owe the government 152 pounds :-(Trying to keep in budget.

I've potted 50p today... I went out with husband and DD... I got 50p discount for using my student card... can you believe in the past the effort of finding my purse out my bag and getting my student card out was too much for "only 50p" - Oh how times have changed

Yes my cheque from Farepack administrators arrived.
I have now safely banked it and would like to add £301 to my total banked for number 1395.
I will add this to my signature and by the way I made my final payment and became DEBT FREE too:j:beer::T:beer::T
See you all in a week. Have a great weekend everyone
Congratulations! on becoming debt free. What a sterling effort  Good news about the cheque too!
Unfortunately, I have nothing to pot at the moment but the good news is that I have been invited to sell my handmade cards at the local Christmas Fair next month :T With any luck I should sell a few which will give me some spare cash to pot for Christmas food and I will give a percentage to charity so they will benefit too.
Sorry to hear about Miss Lily, jakes-mumDon't these bouts always come at the worst time? I'm sure she'll be better for Scotland though 'cos kids soon recover

Happy Monday everyone!
I had an amazing roadkill day yesterday - I was just getting out of the car when I saw a whole pile of coppers under the car next to me! I couldn't quite believe my eyes and I think I gasped because my OH thought I'd hurt myself! I managed to pick up 25p in 2ps and 1ps but there were a couple I couldn't reach, then I found another penny in the mud by the parking machine so a whopping 26p in total!
I was so chuffed so OH thinks I'm even more mad! All the coins are dry now and I scraped the mud off and put them safely in my bottle - what kind of person would abandon them like that? I think they were even run over a few times
I hope you all have a lovely week"It is often said that before you die your life passes before your eyes. It is in fact true. It's called living." Terry PratchettBought our house 2012Married 2015

Good afternoon all,
£10 into my pot yesterday due to an NSD.
I also saw a 20p sitting and waiting to be claimed, so I did! That'll go into my pot when I get home.
ljaneyr - I had the same thing happen recently when I went to a self service machine at the supermarket. Someone had left all the coppers change just sitting there! They are now very settled in their new home. But why would anyone be comfortable to just leave that money lying around???0 -
Hi everyone,
That little conundrum baffles me too  but all the better for us SPC 'ersWell done both of you!
Just popped in to report about 20p in coppers left from shopping are now safely in my pot.

Oh yes, you need some tips. Food and accommodation are reasonably cheap. There are open top buses (red, blue and yellow - different companies) and you can get tickets for Huf. 6,000 and ride on them for 2 days. If you are in the city, you may be able to get them for Huf. 5,000. If not, ask at their kiosks. Just tell them another tour operator offered them for Huf. 5,000 and I am sure you'll get them for Huf. 5,000. They seldom check the date (most of the time they don't even put it on your ticket when you board the bus for the first time) so you can travel up and down the city for days! They stop at all the tourist places.
DON'T flag down a cab in the street . They are frightfully expensive. Ask your hotel to book the cab for you if you need one - less than half the price!
If I can think of anything else, I'll let you know. Oh, and in the price for the bus is included a ferry ride for an hour on the Danube and a free drink at a pub (not sure where, we did not go there).
You must have whispered in DH's ear over the weekend :T! I got a lovely bunch of flowers, and it came from the Whoopsy counter at Asda, for a couple of pence. I got treated on the cheap, but am very happy. Flowers are gorgeous. There is hope!
£10 into my pot today. At this rate I may just be able to afford to go to Rio for the next Olympics or to New York in which case I'll ask you for tips:A.
