  • Mrs Addicted to Spending, You have done a great job with your DS. Well done. Many kids have little or no sense of responsibility at 16. Your son sounds like a delightful lad :T. Can I please swop him with a 19 year old girl :D?

Managed to pot another £7.75. I could have added another £6.10, but my daughter got there first!

Thanks very much - what a lovely thing to say :T. I'm not sure about the 19 year old girl though - I don't have any 'girl' experience as I only have sons - not sure I could cope lol!

A big hello from a newbie! :j
After browsing and trying to work out what everyones little letters in the sigs are all about i now know and picking it up quick! :rotfl:

Im going to start a diary where i will fully introduce myself, set my debt in stone and start my journey..BUT,, i loved this thread so much i couldnt wait to ask for SPC number!! :T:T
i have already been doing this with a tatty old quality streets pot for years, so its about time she got some status in my life!!:bdaycake:

In theory my 2011 pot was around £270 which we turned in to dollars and gave to our friends emigrating as a gift..:A

i also have a pretty pink piggy pot that i fell in love with (in sales:T) but she can wait as a mystery when full. she keeps safe all golden nuggets and 50p's when we empty pockets and purses:o... and yes as the ritual, my bloke shouts 'piggy pot time' and i get my overwhelming excitment at what im getting, even counts it into my hands like a child..(at 30).. its the little things i s'pose :rotfl:

my tatty pots harbours the shrapnel, so im going to count up tomorrow as its been building since Jan 2012 :rotfl:and my SPC begins:j

thank you all for such a lovely forum, amazing people putting their life out there and showing us we're not alone :A

Please feel free to pop along to my diary page when its up, which wont be long as its spurred me along massively

    THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!:T:T

Welcome Chopper70 (lol we've heard lots about you ;)) and EJG :j.

  • Hi Everyone

Had another stressful day!!! Been shopping with DH!!!!

Do you know he asks me where he should park the car then when I point out the perfect spot its too small or in the wrong place .Then I'm in the wrong cos someone else has gone in his space and that sets the pace for the rest of the shopping trip. Moan moan moan Then he tells me he never moans just likes to tell me his point of view :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway he is happy now sitting in his armchair watching TV or is he asleep!! Well whatever at least he is quiet!!

he even gave me all his change so £ 4.67 in the pot!!

Going to the cinema tomorrow with the LO's can't wait!!

Thanks Sue for the kind thoughts, x-ray has come back clear thank goodness but we still don't know what's behind my Darth Vader impersonations.

thanks little_sweetie :D im all over the SPC, another 2p just found under table so that makes up for HIS:mad: bad judgement in kicking one away earlier :naughty:

Im emptying HIS:mad: pockets when he's not looking aswell, that'll teach him to mess with tatty pot collection..

Still havent got a number though :( so gotta admit i dont feel im a fully fledged SPC'er.. :rotfl:

Don't worry, I'm sure our lovely leader Sue-uu will be along sometime soon to give you your very own (hold it tightly!) SPC number which is then yours for life! She is sometimes a bit tied up with other things but, have no fear, she will (like Arnie Schwartz whatsit ) be back :rotfl::rotfl: just carry on frisking HIM for coins :D and do read post #1 to learn all about us. Have fun!

Well folks, I have joined our lovely local theatre as an unpaid associate member and have volunteered to make coffees, sell sweets, programmes & ice creams etc :) I did a session last night and not only did I have fun but I was able to have a free cup of tea during the first half of the play and a free ice cream during the second half, once we had cleared up :T I had a great night out for free so I am potting the last of my pocket money 56p Oh, and for every 6 sessions I do I can have 2 free tickets too :j

Enjoy the lovely sunny day everyone x

    Hi,
I'd like to join this little group, have got a pot and everything but not sure where I add my name although I did read the newbie notes, I'm still baffled, sorry!! I'm a single mum to two girls and as we are all having major milestone birthdays next year, this will be for our spending money for a little special trip we have planned. We've had a couple of years from hell, yet still those girls are always smiling, so this important to me!! Any pennies will just make it better for them!! Many thanks all, have a great weekend.
