electric combi or oil or LPG

I am coming up on completing a refurb of a large 6 bed house on the North east coast it is a 1920's terrace with 3 floors and double glazing wall insulation etc etc. I am trying to decide which heating would be best for the central heating system, I am looking at reasonable install costs and reasonable running costs I own next door and am considering moving ito the new house once finished.
There is no piped gas to the property and no viable way of getting it.
as I see it
OIL expensive kit to install combi, oil tank etc and no real place for a tank, and only one supplier locally who massages prices to suit themselves, they own or scare off all other cheaper suppliers and you cannot get an alternative ( I know I have tried )
LPG cheaper kit to install but no place for a large tank so would be bottles ( again the same supplier as the oil but at least I might be able to ship in bottles )
Electric Combi prices comparable with LPG but no bottles cost and no flue Running costs ? ( best of all local !!!!! fuel supplier does not do electric yet )
anyone any ideas/ experience. I am not interested in heat pumps thermal power wind or any of the more esoteric energy forms. ( no garden or land to speak of )
any advice would be appreciated I am veering towards electric just dont want to jump and find that it is 5 times more expensive than Oil. I am investigating tarrifs
Ps water pressure is fantastic so combi would do just fine.

Oil is cheaper than LPG is cheaper than electricity. Not 5 times more, but around double.
But if you can't physically install an oil tank, then why is it on your list?No free lunch, and no free laptop

You would be much better off installing a hot water cylinder and heating the water using cheap night rate electric and installing a couple of storage heaters (picked up for cheap on Ebay) and also heat them up using cheap night rate electric. You can also use a couple of convector heaters (£10 from nearly every shop selling cheap electricals) for when the storage heaters run out of heat which when well managed isn't very often.:footie:

I can just about install an oil tank but in a place where it would be a real pain to install, depends on how the fitter interprets the regs
This is a full install from scratch in a large house the house next door that I am living in is using 1000lts /2.5 to 3 months in the winter and 1000lts /5 months in the summer, oil is currently 72p/ltr giving about £2500 / year heating costs or £210/month
This is in a house with full DG and cavity insulation in good repair with a 3 year old boiler.
Even if the running costs for the electric are the same or slightly higher I would probally still install it as the install cost would be lower no tank flue etc, ( plus i dont have to deal with the local supplier ) I am hoping the costs after low tarrifs more efficient boiler mid terrace ( no large gable wall as next door ) to be about the same as oil, I am awaiting a boiler size from a friend who is doing the calcs for me, which might add a bit more clarity. A storage unit for the water heated up on cheap electric is an idea I assume they are a super insulated tank essentially, although I think storage heaters would be a step too far for me. ( cheap though they may be )
LPG would have the added benifit of giving a gas hob but I am baulking at the idea of bottles outside my kitchen window0 -
A lot of people don't like them so you could just install wall mounted convector heaters. Nice looking ones don't cost very much. The immersion heater on the water cylinder can be set to a low temperature about 50 and left on 24/7. The heat losses from an insulated cylinder at 50 degrees are not much. You can then use a standard tariff.I can just about install an oil tank but in a place where it would be a real pain to install, depends on how the fitter interprets the regs

If you like to use gas for cooking you can still use 47kg bottles just for cooking.:footie:
