We were without a washing machine for over a week and there are 3 women in our household, we needed one urgently,Comet had my money which was £325 and I had a machine supplied by them which was fauty out of the box and less than 24 hours old, I'm old school if you like a Replacement product which I would collect myself or my money back. They made me wait 5 day's for an engineer to confirm the obvious I then got a choice new replacement or refund I choose refund, no more Comet. The paying Customer is alway's right, my money my choice. Curry's had the only other brand available there and there so they got my custom

Regardless of retailer, you still have no right whatsoever to an automatic replacement. With something simple like a pump, they will always want to repair.
If you think Comet are bad, wait until you sample Curry's after-sales service...
