How do I delete a whole inbox the quick way?

I have 16,667 emails in my yahoo e-mail in box. I have fits and spurts of using it - mainly when I'm putting stuff on freecycle yahoo group. I use 2 freecycle groups. I haven't looked at my yahoo in box for a year but its spring and I have just put some items on. I want to delete all the e-mails in the inbox but can only delete 25 at a time! I've tried holding down shift and arrow but even though it lets me go to page 2 it still will only delete 25 e-mails. I don't want to set it so that I don't get e-mails when a new item is posted on freecycle as I do find that handy every now and again. Can anyone help me with how I can delete everything in it as at today?

If it has imap access then connect to outlook let it sync then press the all email and delete

You can set your page to display 100 items and do it 100 at a time. Only a bit quicker, I know, but quicker nonetheless. I do this all the time, it's a pain in the butt.

Thanks. I don't imap. Also I can't seem to find an option to make the in box show me 100 - can you let me kwon how to do that.

Thanks . I've tried that but even tho you then go the next page to highlight those it won't remember it so it still defaults back to one page and 25 msgs.

Can't you just move them another folder then do delete all.

Sure you can in Hotmail.

Does the box support POP3? A few choice characters typed onto a terminal should do it in mere moments

Thanks altho that suggestion still gives you the same problem - you can't highlight them all in one go to move - altho I can now highlight 200 and delete them it would take the same time to move them.
