alared. I have to confess to being a share trader and I have the screen and technical analysis package. I can read the TA charts. If anything I sell too early when I should be following the trend to the end but hard earned cash has to be preserved
The market is very very nervous at the moment so really it is best to stand back and just watch for a while
Why monday?? intuition came in and I acted fast0 -
Personally I'm glad it happened now rather than in May as a second year of the market dropping suddenly just after ISA season.
I happen to have 7000 in cash in a stocks and shares ISA at the moment and I'll probably leave it there until after the People's Congress is over. Volatility simply is but I see no need to trade when it's at its maximum.0 -
Sorry Folks its all my fault last month I invested my first £100.
That will teach me.
Asia is red again this morning. If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

I hope this all calms down for april because I have moved my pension out of its 7 years of living in pru with profits into 7 equity funds, all because i did ok on the ETF`s from the £100 above. Thankfully the choices only get purchased in April and not when i submited them last friday.
This could turn out to be a good idea .. or not, atleast I wont need it for another 39 years. If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

Ideally they would be purchased now,so you get them at sale prices
Trying to keep it simple...

Indeed. Those people who recently bought will have got stung the most. For those looking to buy it may be a good time. Though as always is the case with stocks, its impossible to say for certain.0

Interesting predictive article from last November.

Many are blaming this for the current correction.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -
I predict.... Famous last words!!!
As my pension has 40 years to go I'm not quite panicing yet!
For what it's worth, if the down move was causing panic we'd have seen the 10% correction down by now? I can see things being down moderately again tomorrow but surely it's not the end of the world?
Still... I'm avoiding the 'racier' stocks at the minute!0
