Market Dip - 27 Feb

Oooooh! FTSE100 down 2% today and dropping...

Not sure what's going on here but apparently it's been caused by a 9% drop in the Chinese market.

Time to buy? Wonder what bargains there are? Or will it be boring and level out?

Yes. I'm stuck between thinking there may be a little more to come (these things dont usually come over just one day) and thinking its time to put a bit more back in.

In context, the drop although it appears large, is only taking us a back a few months at this stage.

  • I wouldn`t be looking at buying for another 2-3 months now at least. The market has turned bearish and governments have been money-tightening.

I sold the majority of my shareholdings yesterday morning.

That was excellent timing,do you have a crystal ball or just a premonition?

No,I bet you just"read" the market and decided it has risen too much and was due for a correction.

But why yesterday and not today?

Brilliant EdInvestor!! I tried to play on the bullbearings site and it described me EXACTLY!! (Good job I don;t do it for real).

What's happening with the markets today, still falling?

    PS, what's a 'bear' market?
