Just to add. What kind of example is it to shout of a woman because she cooks something you dont like.

A friend one told hes son that if he ate broccoli it would grow out of hes ears. The son from that point on never ate it untill dad after many arguments had to prove that it wasent the case by eating broccoli at every meal for a month.

Send him to the chip shop

That would be a treat to my husband lol!:D

Ungrateful sod, he should be grateful you are trying to teach his son healthy eating and not trying to shovel crap down his throat, - although nothing wrong with it in moderation.

How about beans on toast? (No cheese, or mushrooms or egg or anything to spice it up a bit).

Personally I quite like beans on toast as a meal, and we do have it maybe once every month or so, usually followed by a pud (don't have pudding/treat every day after tea) but a lot of people I know say that beans on toast is a snack and not a meal. I suppose it depends on whether he is partial to beans on toast or not.

Or how about jacket potato & beans (another I quite like lol)

Or if you want to make more of an effort but plain boring think it would be plain steamed white fish (or better yet, can you get boil in the bag - over boiled!) with veg that is over boiled - especially overdone cabbage - yummy not! :D:D:D

You OH is an ungrateful sod and is setting a very bad example.

I'd pull a few weeds from the garden and serve them up to this donkey.

I would let him sort himself out to be honest but if you have have to cook go for something like shepherd's pie with no onions or gravy and leave out the seasoning, if you can overcook the mince and leave the mash (no butter mind) lumpy so much the better. Hide the sauces and serve up your nice individual one with cheese on top just for you and the toddler.

I'm afraid if a man or anyone shouted at me over food I had cooked for him he would have had it poured over his head lol.

I think I would be having a word with himon his own about the example he is setting his kids and calmly point out you are trying to cook tasty healthy foods (I assume day in day out and on a budget) for him and his kids. TBH tell him HE is cooking tonight and takeaway is out.

I need ideas for very very VERY boring or plain meals i can do for tea tonight.

I made a soup today, myself and my toddler ate it happily with bread but my husband and stepson who is 13 both turned their noses up at it. Husband then shouted saying i should know better than to make soup when stepson is over. The soup was fine he was just eyeing up junk food for the record.

I was going to do chicken but after that outburst they can go sing, I've turned the oven off.

So whats the most boring meal idea you can think of? Xx

plain pasta, no sauce. And empty the cupboards of all the junk food/snacks for the rest of the day while you're at it ;).

Sausage casserole, it's horrible food. :)

I love sausage casserole, made with good quality sausages and a nice rich sauce, lovely buttery mash, gorgeous.

I'd give him beans on toast.
