How many MBNA owned cards can you have?

I once had 3 mbna cards with a total of c. £25k limit overall, but they have become much stricter about limits in the last few years.

I just got the VA white card after a ten-year break of not having any MBNA cards (which were all in their own name, not covering Virgin/Amazon/etc). Knowing what I know now I would have turned it down from the cold call and saved myself a search, as it was offered to me months before the annual big balances I wanted to transfer.

If you get no interest-free at all for buying things and you will earn the biggest amount of miles you'll ever get on the very first purchase you make (also with a time limit)...in my view the card is designed for paying for a holiday, not for day to day living.

@marywooyeah - didn't know they did the Amazon card, thanks for that.
