Help? Changing from Orange to ?

Hello all, always read the site but haven't had to post before! I have been with Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange for years and currently paying £22.99 a month.... need something cheaper... but run 2 wireless PC's through Orange's livebox system...

If I want to go to another provider how can I still use broadband in a wireless way, would I need to buy something myself or do other providers do this? Had to pay quite a lot to get this set up, and so am reluctant to leave Orange and have to pay to set up all over again, but I think at £22.99 we are paying way too much!

Can anyone help a confused soul?! Was thinking Virgin may be good option?

Thank you!!

You are obviously paying too much, so tell them that you are thinking of leaving to go to Sky etc. If you did leave Orange, your Livebox would not work with another provider, so get on the phone and haggle!

  • I have moved from Orange to BT Total Broadband and they send you a HomeHub Wireless router. It is really good and takes no setting up at all. Also I get evening and weekend calls free just by plugging a £3.99 phone I bought at Argos into the Homehub and if you have a look at the offers they are doing various deals like a free Xbox360 wireless thingy(?) and I think there are other things on offer. The customer service is quick and they can talk you through any problems you have. Give them a go.

I was paying exactly the same for Orange so I phoned up and told them I wanted to cancel - they put me through to the cancellations department and hey presto I was offered exactly the same deal for 12.99!
