Careful with contract cashback

I thought I'd just remind people to double check the dates they need to send of cashback claims in their contracts.
I foolishly relied on T-Mobile's billing interface to keep me up to date on when I should be sending off my bills during this 18 month contract.

T-Mobile only allows you access to the last 12 months of billing, so when I logged in and wrote down the dates I needed to send the bills off I was 3 months behind when I actually needed to do it.
This combined with T-Mobile not informing me that my contract was expiring and I've been billed 3 times since (contract ended in December).
I've sent off the bills to BuyMobilePhones.net but they're under no legal obligation to pay out. If anybody has had any luck out of their 60 day time frame I'd like to know.
My own stupidity is mostly to blame so I thought I'd give a shout out. Have a laugh at my expense :rotfl:

You contract didn't expire you just passed the mimimum term. After the minimum term all phone contracts become rolling 30 day contracts.0 -

The control panel said contract ends.
I think it's bad that they don't contact you to tell you, I feel screwed out of those 4 months.MBNA CC: -£8390

Well, I wonder if buymobilephones.net ever pay back cashback as they certainly conned my mum out of a load of cash.
My mum is one of these people who is meticulous when it comes to things like this - she had the days written down and made sure to send her cashback requests and bills (which btw are a pain in the hariss to print off in the first place) on the earliest day possible every time required.
We'd get no response. We would then call them and they would say they have not recieved the letter. We send another one - no response. We call them again - they have not apparently recieved it even though it was recorded delivery and we got a thing back saying it was delivered.
After the third attempt they finally recieved it - but guess what - it was now a few days out of time so they had no obligation to pay the cashback. I've not had any other post go missing to anyone else for years - this company is a scam as far as i'm concerned and whilst i'm too fed up to fight more for my money I hope some people at least read this post and avoid this company.
It should be obvious really - why else would they require conventional posted requests rather than do it electronically like 99% of all other internet companies, not to mention deliberately make it rather vague on their website how to make claims in the first place.
Maybe some people get lucky and actually recieve the cashback - but I for one will not be falling for it again0 -
"Luck" has absolutely NOTHING to do with it. Although I regard this dealer as higher risk because of their size I (and many others) have never missed a claim. I don't believe they are in the business of "conning" people. All you/she has to do is follow the guidelines (LBA and sue if it came to it - though it shouldn't) if all else failed. Provided she has proof of claim delivery, that fell within the massive 60 days window and can prove she sent the correct bill there is absolutely NO problem in forcing them to cough up. If "the thing" shows delivery within the time frame the date THEY claim to have received it is irrelevant. Without that proof she has no case. With it there is no problem.0

The buymobilephones.net is very high risk. The buymobilephones always try to find the way of not paying. You can only spend so much time with these type of companies. If you have the time like JUNKIE then any company is find as he can spend time try to take them to court etc, write letters etc.
Most people with work and family don't have too much free time unlike JUNKIe to mass around with company like buymobilephones.net. Stay away.
By the way buymobilephones.net is one of the few companies who need all bills, say you need to send the 6th bill, you will have to send all bills from one to six, this way it can look for any error such as not printed or page missing to reject the claim.
Others such as mobiles.co.uk and e2save only require you to send the 6th bill, much better process.0 -
I might disagree with this. I had a contract phone with them for 18 months . Got all paid off.
Now, I have taken 2nd contract. Sent my 1st claim and got confirmation that it will be paid in May.
I think, sending the bills & coupons on time is the Key.0
