Hi Liam's Mum,
I don't have much to offer in terms of the money side of things and it looks like much more knowledgeable people have given some really solid ideas, but wondered if it might be helpful for you have some info about the post-natal depression, and what's available so that if you were interested you had it to hand (even if that's not this week or next week or for the next wee while).
Like lots of people have said it might be worth making an appointment with the most sympathetic doctor or Health Visitor you know, even if they aren't your usual ones, and explaining how you're feeling.
If you just want to have some information about post-natal depression and different ways of managing it, the site https://www.rcpsych.ac.uk/mentalhealthinformation has information about PND.
If you wanted to speak with someone to think through what could be helpful without going to your GP, Mindline have a confidential helpline on 0845766 0163 that's open Mon-Fri from 9.15am to 5.15pm.
Some other posters have spoken about Homestart, who are a really helpful organisation.
Another organisation that may be helpful is the MAMA (Meet a Mum) who are set up specifically to support women with PND. There are groups you can join if you wnated, but they also run a Helpline if you just wanted to think through what help s available and to find out more about this - this is on 0845 120 3746 and is open from 7-10pm on Mon-Fri
Good luck for the next bit, and given how many people have posted it really feels that you have lots of people on your side.0 -

In that case, if he's fiddling tax/tax credits, you could always threaten to shop him if he doesn't raise the maintenance to reasonable level.0 -
Well there seems to be loads of advice here already. I hope it is alll helping. Have a look online for recipes using a slow cooker and you should get loads pop up. I cooked a beef joint in mine (its a mini slow cooker for 2 - aahh). I left it cooking in there for several hours and when I took it out it fell apart - lovely!😁0

thank you all very much for your replys it has been very helpful..although im stil a lil stuck on claiming the charges to my catalogues etc. im already in process of bank charges. the link below was for bank charges but thank u anyway lol!
if i was to basically dob my ex in for fiddling tax how would i go about this because i would be entitled to more maintenance would i not? as £10 a week is nothing to be fair and he has his responsibilties.
ive taken the advice on the slow cooker mum gave me heres so will be buying to bits tomorrow to start cooking!!
i have also just put 13 things on ebay hopefully this should get my a fair wack to pay towards debts.
i had a look on the playplan site and because i owe under 8000 i had to basically contact creditors and do it all myself.:j proud to be dealing with my debt:j

I know others have offered tonnes of good advice already so although I am only repeating what they have said then here is my 2 pennies worth:
CANCEL SKY! you don't need SKY and Freeview! Call them NOW and cancel it!!
Food... £200 is high even for you and a baby. I buy a lot of organic food and feed 2 adults, 2 cats and a large dog for less than that! But I don't buy any pre-prepped meals, I batch cook and freeze. Value ranges are not as horrid as people would let you think so try them out too. Hop over to the OS board, the people there are incredibly helpful and kind and you will be amazed what you can do cleaning wise with vinegar and baking soda
Pigsback definitely! Can not tell you often enough to get over there and start clicking!
Chin up you can do it with the help and support hereDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I don't have much else to add but please talk to your doctor or Health visitor about getting help with your postnatal depression. That lot is a lot to take on when you're already feeling down and vulnerable and your health should come top priority over money.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
