So, now you're all filled up .......... where's everyone going for Easter ;)
  • :( Was hoping I'd get a cheap weekend away at easter as nobody would be able to get to their caravans.

Anyone who panic bought fuel is an idiot.

The government has mugged off every single person that went out and filled their tank up on their say so.

And still they queue! Amazing isn't it?

The union has already won. They've showed what a simple threat will do let alone an actual strike.

Mine had no diesel last night. They'd restocked by first thing this morning though.

Net result: Tanker drivers will make loads in overtime the next few days, ready for their Easter holidays.
  • I filled up at lunchtime, one large baked potato with chilli and cheese, together with a nice salad and some blackcurrent and soda water. All ready for the ride home :rotfl:

Guess there will be more idiots queuing up to fill their cars, no strike, no threat of a strike = no need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But the media histeria has created an environment where the sheep must feed their cars and buy yet more petrol. Even if not going anywhere over the next few days.

A little common sense would be useful but is clearly too much to ask for ? I wonder what will happen next week if a strike is subsequently called or whether the union now needs to even bother as the threat is a greater incentive to get a deal done.

Except they won't because they're already pretty much working max hours which is the point of the strike.
