EXPIRED thorntons continental eggs...glitch

Am i correct in saying that this is now a waiting game or is it just simply refunds all around?

Refunds all around I think, they are aware of the issue and they are open for a fair few hours longer today. Wouldn't take them too long to work out the timeframe of orders that need to be put on hold were and to cnacel them as such. the other thing is that the orders for alcohol will have alerted them as they have to call each customer to verify their age before they proccess it so it may be very apparant there is something wrong with all of those. Hope I am wrong though.

Why on earth do people go overboard & potentially ruin these glitches for others - I just don't get it. I was going to order just 2 continental eggs this morning, put them in my basket then realised that £8 + a ridiculous postage cost for 2 hollow eggs and a few chocolates that are nothing special compared to Hotel Chocolat really aren't worth it.

I wouldn't say ordering four items at £16, is spoiling it for others.

Mind you, the price WAS verified prior to the acceptance of the order. I'll let you know tomorrow.

I think the acceptance of the order is later in the process than you might expect and is near despatch. This has become fairly standard in internet orders after either Amazon or Currys did something very silly on a mis-price some years back

Crikey since i posted this little glitch has gotten bigger hope some peeps get their orders....i was happy with my four eggs as i was buying anyways ...i rarely post glitches as i never have time..oh and mine are despatched so am happy ...x

You are right, I should have googled it myself. I do apologise for this, I am not usually so lazy.

I am afraid that my only excuse is that I really did think this site could only be accessed via a mobile, or a link provided from a mobile and I don't have internet on my mobile. Sorry for any offence caused, it is not something I would have expected to find on google, I now realise that this was incorrect.

i think thorntons can turn round and say this is a mistake and not honour it due the the 2 for £8 did state for certain eggs so im not hopeful for my 2 hampers altho it is not the customers fault that the checkout was automatically adding the discount

Hi Did they send you a second text then to say dispatched ? I recieved the confirmation order text but thats all so far. If it works then great but if not never mind. Thank you to op as well.
