Should Monica keep dating Bill?

Well, firstly I think this moral dilemma just isn't giving us enough information for anyone to have a really valid opinion on it. How serious does Bill think the relationship is? How keen is he to find a Mrs Right? Maybe he is just enjoying Monica's company and wouldn't put her in his top 12 either. Secondly, I think a month is a very short time for both of them to get to know each other. Maybe as Monica gets to know Bill better, she might find she actually likes him a lot more and their relationship could blossom - similarly, he might get to like her a lot less. The more time they spend together, the more they will find out about each other and they may drift apart, or grow closer together. If Monica's motives are purely materialistic, is Bill really so eager, or even too dim, to ever realise it? I have never been tempted to matchmake - or break -as I know that people and relationships are far too complex. I think maybe most of us know of the most unlikely couples who seem totally happy. So, I am backing out of having an opinion on this one other than let's 'wait and see'.0

How do we know Bill isn't just using Monica for her looks or something as well?
Plenty an old ugly rich guy with hot young female - Hugh Hefner springs to mind.
If there both getting something out of it, know where they stand with each other, then whats the harm.0 -
Go Monica! Use, abuse, discard!!0

Hold on a minute. I'm not sure it's all as black and white as some people think. Or to paraphrase Sugar Kane in Some Like It Hot - a man with money is like a girl who's pretty, you say it isn't important, but you know it really helps. I personally wouldn't date a seriously rich man as in my experience they are usually very arrogant. I wouldn't have married a really poor or unemployed guy either. Rich people who are successful are attractive not just for their money, but for their success. In this case, if they enjoy each others company, does it really matter?0

How does she know that Bill is loaded? I don't think he is. Remember, he spends a lot on unneccessary things. He is probably deeply in debt.
By the time she has realised this Monica will probably have changed her mind and fallen deeply in love with him.0 -

whats the harm? whats the harm in kerb crawlers, red light districts? the definition of prostitute has already been applied to monica, so when you say "whats the harm" you might as well be legalising prostitution. old and young guys with cash, young drug abusing females and std's.0 -
Should Monica keep on dating Bill? Depends on what Hillary thinks about it !! :rotfl:I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

Can't believe any of you think it's okay for Monica to keep on dating Bill. Okay, so you're all money savers, but heck, there are limits! No, no, no, she absolutely should not be dating him. Quite apart from the ethical grey area of dating someone who's not right, if she's going to date a guy with a 'I'm a rich git' car, surely she could pick a far classier car.....0

It depends how far Monica goes with the relationship. I have a few friends - female and male - who had to remortgage their house because their fiancée/fiancé ran off with the money. It left them seriously depressed for quite a while.
However, there nothing wrong with a bit of fun from both sides :beer:0 -

It's not prostitution. You may as well say that every good looking girl who goes out with a guy is prostituting herself, which there not.
However, lets be honest, women and men value different criteria more highly in a relationship. Thats not to say they don't have the same things on the list, just in a different order/priority.
We don't know enough about them, but again, if they both are getting something from the relationship and they both know where they stand, why should we have an issue with it.0
