Friday 30th March - What Small DFW Things Will You Do Today??!!

I agree pay it back then have the OD reduced overall if you can. But it takes discipline! This is what I did with mine. As I had a years od 0% they wouldn't let me reduce it (go figure??!) so the first month b4 payday I was £1300 oderdrawn, when I got paid was back in the balck (just!) when I did my budget I worked it out so I had £1200 available od, and reduced it £100 - in my mind)- each month. then after 12 months just called them and reduced it to £500 Hope that makes sense? I still have an od of £500 but have not used it once since becoming DF :TDF as at 30/12/16

Update MS Money
Breakfast from stores - ready brek and chopped up apple, yum!
Free sandwich from work for lunch, yay!
Try reeeeeeally hard for an NSD, keep slipping up this week with the odd 50p here and there.
Snack on fruit rather than get tempted with cake
Update calorie counter
Received £10 from colleague which I lent them in July last year - had given up all hope of getting it back so feeling happy now! Not sure whether to transfer it into my ISA or use it to treat myself...
2lts water
Look into renewing FairFX card, will cost me £9.95 to renew unless I top up by £300, won't have £300 to top up with until next month so might miss deadline, and not sure if better to use Citibank $ account... choices choices!
Finish getting colleague's birthday present
Work hard!
Ring optician to make appt
Think that's my lot for the day, hope everyone is ok and well done to BT1 and Kerrypolka for big payments! Yargo agree completely with teeth, I will always shell out for teeth and glasses as they're always there, you can't hide them!! Yorpington, my stick blender was £4.97 from Tesco, it's a bit basic and noisy but does the job!

Oh I do love a good love story Kerry!
Ah yes, not needing a car is a BIG money saver! I do think it depends on your location in the UK though. Out in the sticks, I think most people need a car to get around, but otherwise it's fine. Lots of public transport
It's pretty similar here. I sold my car before I left the UK, and I haven't bought another one yet. The public transport is excellent, and I have a bike, and tbh, the only time we find ourselves needing one is with trips to IKEA. But, then we just paid for delivery (was cheaper than hiring a van), and they bought up the 1st flight of stairs too (we're on the second floor).
OK, I had my lunch. Yum. Feel VERY full right now though! lol
I also sourced the hotel cost data for my weekend roomie and let her know.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Good afternoon everyone...
Is this my first visit this week? I've had a terrible, not at all mse week and should be hanging my head in shame. I had a job interview Tuesday which I didn't get, then drowned my sorrows in pizza... then Wednesday I lent dd £32 to buy a new Wii game as she hadn't saved enough, then yesterday I had to buy a cake to bring to work as it's my birthday tomorrow. Today should be my first mse day of the week really.
Here's my little list
Check bank, and do vsp (done - and it's payday!)
All meals from stores
Weightloss in progress (stolen this one - sorry 5lbs so far)
Enjoy the sun before it disappears for the hols.
Count down the last 3 hours at work before I can get 2 weeks off
Encourage OH to do some stuff round the house
That's it for now - hope everyone is well.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
Hey don't beat yourself up wannabes...still sounds pretty frugal to me and not getting a job you want is hard

Sorry to hear about your daughter Barbed. I had that a couple of weeks back, and it was horrid. Worst one I've had since a kid. I lost 9lbs in less than a week. I hope hers isn't so bad, and that she recovers super quick (kids often do, don't they?).February wins: Theatre tickets0
