A little better off financially yes, but personally I enjoy browsing the actual DVDs in store. In the same way I can't stand online grocery shopping, have to go to the store and get what I need.
I certainly agree with you about on line grocery shopping.
It's worth giving the IMDB site a try, though, even if you do then go and pick your DVD's by hand. I've discovered some really good films there that I'd never have otherwise heard of.There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Netflix is brilliant its dead convienent and its got so many films and programmes on it, even whole series' of tv shows. I use it through my xbox 360 - if you've got one or a ps3 you can could use that.
Unfortunately i dont have a games console (never upgraded since a PS2!) as I would have no other use for it as would never play the games so its never been a worthwhile investment.
So i am left to hopefully having the Netflix app added to my Sony Blu Ray player which hopefully should be soon. They add it to the PS3 but not to the players??0 -
thanks for all the sarcastic replies about how dare they charge more lol.
im not cut up about it you know im not going to kill my self over the price rise i was just expressing my opinion on a 40% price increase.
and this is a money saving forum in the praise and vent section lol
anyway i did rent films online but i found 2 thinsg they often went missing in post wich caused hassle and often as not the discs would be knackered causing skipping and jumping unless it was a brand new film wich just annoyed me and this was from lovefilm.
tried netflix and it bloomin awfull with hardly any films to rent.0 -

I know I'm surprised they haven't done it either, pretty sure you can stream netflix through a pc too though so that might be worth a go.thefishdude wrote: »anyway i did rent films online but i found 2 thinsg they often went missing in post wich caused hassle and often as not the discs would be knackered causing skipping and jumping unless it was a brand new film wich just annoyed me and this was from lovefilm.

yeah I found that too partly why I binned off lovefilm. I'm suprised you didn't find much on netflix though I think there's loads, might be worth another go. I do agree with you about blockbuster though the price rise was a lot.0 -
Netflix is good with lots of tv programs on however it is very limited for new releases. I've got both the UK and US versions and struggle to find a new movie on there
Blockbusters should do better really as if you fancy a new release to watch at home that night the only (legal) options you have are too rent it from blockbuster or buy it. Lovefilm is cheap but sometimes you have to wait weeks to receive a film you want!
Plus it is better to go into a shop and have a good browse around and whats available. I'm the same with books, I would much rather go round waterstones to find a good book to read than just browse the amazon website! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Try it via that unblock US site(they do a one week free trial). It gives you the American version which is alot better. Although it does mean that you have to pay the £6 a month to netflix, plus another $5 a month(about £3.20) to unblock US. Still for less than a tenner a month you get alot of content. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
