You have 3 options, netflix, Lovefilm or (the more logical one in this day in age) DOWNLOAD!!
I'm bewildered that people still use Blockbuster at even £2 per movie.
Downloading appears to be a taboo subject, I have certainly never seen any mention of it on this forum however for a large percentage of the public (the majority if people are honest), downloading is a part of life. If i want a movie, missed TV episode, box set etc. I download it withjout giving it a second thought. I am baffled why not everyone is up to speed with this yet.0 -

Because its not allowed thats why."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
I'm suprised they're still going to be honest. I've got netflix and its so handy, also there was a £20 amazon free voucher deal when you signed up for a free trial so have a google for that and see if you can find it.0

Oh sorry, we are told it is not allowed so it must be wrong. My old favourite phrase has to come to light 'Get a grip!'
Here is an interesting one for you, I want a site where I can download a movie legally (not watch one, downolad one) and pay retail price for it. I have no issue paying for a movie to download.
Please give me a link.
EDIT. Also it has to be Blu-Ray and a direct clone of a Blu-Ray release with all special features included.0 -

Have you ever used Lovefilm? I have been with Lovefilm for ages and was curious about Netflix and thought I would give it a go. Sadly as my Sony 3D Blu Ray Player only has a built in Lovefilm app and no Netflix app and also that my huuuge TV is not 'internet ready' (as if) so even though I want Netflix I actually can't have it unless I buy a new TV or a new Blu Ray Player or watch it online (i'm not going to do that)
Gutted as I. the kind of guy that likes to have everything!0 -

Jeff bridges, i guess your lack of response speaks volumes as in it is not possible to download a movie legally to watch on a TV in Blu-ray format with all special features and menus.
So we are told 'don't download illegally' but are also offered no paid alternative to download legally. DOH0 -

hi yeah I used to have the postal one but got peeved at waiting ages for discs or replacements ones if the games didn't work then they didnt send me anything for ages but charged me 3 months fees so I binned them off (and got a refund of the fees too). Netflix is brilliant its dead convienent and its got so many films and programmes on it, even whole series' of tv shows. I use it through my xbox 360 - if you've got one or a ps3 you can could use that.0 -
What about the price of Virgin on-demand movies? Your looking at nearly a fiver for some of the latest releases. Or £3-£4 for other movies. Betting Blockbuster prices are looking a bit better now
Personally, I would still go to Blockbuster. When I want to watch a movie I don't have a clue what I want to watch so enjoy walking round the store looking for something that catches my eye and reading the back.
Saying that, we do have a Lovefilm subscription but i've never used it. Just let the Ms Arcon5 choose and wait for them to arrive to see what she's got (although that has its price)0 -

TBH, you're far better off going to IMDB, looking at films you have liked in the past and surfing on the "people who liked this also liked these" section. You get far more detail on IMDB and you can also read other people's comments. Once you've learned to filter these, and in conjunction with the rating, they can be quite helpful. Then use your Lovefilm subscription. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

A little better off financially yes, but personally I enjoy browsing the actual DVDs in store. In the same way I can't stand online grocery shopping, have to go to the store and get what I need.
Although I do accept more and more people are now avoiding the likes of Blockbuster. Although our local store is located in a very large unit in a retail park, they could easily downsize to something a tenth of the cost!0
