I am using Firefox instead of IE

What i would like to know now that i am using Firefox not IE with XP when downloading different programs and they say for IE and not much else will the program be ok for firefox sometimes they dont say Firefox so i was just wondering when the situation arrises what to do.:grouphug:

    Firefox and IE are browsers and as such you don't frequently download programmes for them apart perhaps from add-ins which are browser specific most websites are not browser specific so just concentrate on your punctuation and don't worry too much about your browser.

    If it's just software/programs for your PC in general, any browser will be able to download it.

    My main browser is Firefox and I have no problems at all downloading programs to run with Windows XP.
    If you are talking about add-ons for IE then obviously you will need IE for the add-ons to add onto :)

    Back to Firefox, I recommend the Flashgot add-on and and Free Download Manager

    a couple of extra addons for firefox i would recommend

    adblock plus remove ads from pages.
    flashgot has already been mentioned.

    dont know if your using version 11, 12 or 13 of firefox but personally i'm using 3.6.28 as its compatible will all the addon's i use.

    ive had to use ie to use some functions on the dell website otherwise firefox is good for most stuff

  • Thought I was the only one still using 3.6.28,have tried the newer ones but go back to my old favourite,every time.
