Hello
I am currently looking to build my own website for my dads small company.
I did pay a guy £500 to do one but it really was awful. Anyway I am currently using 123 reg website builder but I am not finding it that easy, I have managed to upload one just now but I cant figure out how to add sub domains or a contact form on the contact page.
So I am on the lookout for a better easier programme to use.
Do you know of any cheap/semi cheap ones out there for beginners.
I do not have any knowledge of html at all.
I would appreciate any help
Thanks

Pop into your library and borrow "Build your own web site" from Haynes, the car repair people
ISBN 978 1 84425 668 7
Or Google it
They use Net Objects 8 [free, but can be customised]
The book does not require HTML, but does have a section about itGardener’s pest is chef’s escargot0 -

Use Wordpress, it's a brilliant content management system.
Its not a 'program' you download and install,it has to be hosted but seeing as you have a 123 account it should be no problem.
Get wordpress,it is so much better and quite easy to use with loads of add ons and free templates etc.Lose is to not win......Loose is not tight......get it right!0 -

it was a guy off ebay he designed all our logo and business cards letterheads. he was really nice friendly helpful and I was really pleased with the stationery, but the website I was not so pleased. i didnt really complain too much as I didnt see the point. it was so basic a site that I thought he obviouly isnt capable of doing what I wanted so I just put it down to experience.
hence I would like to try and do one myself as I need to be able to update the content on a regular basis0 -

Wordpress is an option hosting will cost you 3 or 4 quid a month to get somthing basic. Id allways reccomend using a local web designer and have a look though there portfolio and see if you like the sort of things they produce. have you got a link to the site they made for you. unfortantly alot of people make promises they cant deliver on. Did you have a written contract with this guy?0
