^^^ RX-8 isn't that rare a car, surely!Charlotte1985 wrote: »thanks thats great, it starts now and again just have to hope it will when i drop it off.
Just had a better idea.
If you have decent breakdown cover, not the cheap "will tow you to the nearest garage so long as its within 10 miles" crap, then just get them to tow the car back to the dealership.
I've done this in the past with the RAC. Broke down at Charnock Richard Services in Lancashire at 7PM, and got the RAC to tow me and my car home (Liverpool) and then turn up the next day and take just the car to Scoobyclinic in Chesterfield, leaving me with a crappy Corsa as a hire car, which I then left at Scoobyclinic once my car was fixed.
Obviously if you don't have such breakdown cover already it would be fraudulent to sign up for it and then wait a week before claiming, so don't do that.0 -
OP, call the garage back and ask them how you are meant to return a car that wont even start.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

if op rang me i would say no idea but if you want me to come and collect it its a £1 a mile on the back of my truck
its hardly the sellers fault its broken down as its just a washing machine with wheels its probably also something simple like a faulty crank sensor
this is why i keep saying use your local dealer or lose him0 -

I think I would be informing them of two choices
Choice 1 collect the car and fix it at their expense .
Choice 2 . You return the car reject it and get all your money back and sue them in court if they refuse.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

£1 a mile is cheap, I've been charging £1.50/mile for a while now and it still doesn't leave a lot for me.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -

are you for real?
read all the thread
buyer lives 2.5 hours away from dealer
do you seriously expect him to send someone to collect this car
i think maybe you need a reality check0
