Nothing different local to me. Car was running on red so put in the normal 15 squid earlier. Don't see the whole point of panicking and even if their was a shortage everyone would be in the same boat. (though that boat would be parked up completely fuel-less) I find the scenes in Uk mainland totally insane. When did society become so stupid and afraid? Yeah don't panic but everyone should keep some spare petrol in their garage. Lol. Some of the mad max style pictures of grown men filling up stacks of xl jerry cans is too ridiculous for words. Be prepared for gangs of wild men with crossbows holding your car up to steal a litre of unleaded premium on a dual carriage way near you.

Typical over reaction in England, sad to hear about that woman getting badly burned in her kitchen while handling petrol, but seriously! Have some sense!

    Hi,
just thought I'd mention a place where you can check and update fuel prices near you. It might help someone save a few quid, and maybe even make some of the dearer outlets trim their prices a bit.
Please feel free to update any prices that are out of date, I'm afraid I let this lapse a bit, but with fuel back in the news, I thought it was time to put it back out there.
Yes, it is our site. :) No, we don't make anything from it. :(

Thank for that Doh Ray Mi - nice little site. I've updated the prices I know of and would encourage everyone to do the same to help each other out. Very easy to find a station and update it.

If you can't afford to fill your tank how on earth do you afford to buy, insure and tax a car?! Doing small fill ups is less efficient in my book too,

Same way as most of the population do. Throw a few quid in every few days. I don't know a single person who goes to a filling station and fills up (unless its a company vehicle). I'd image it'd be close to £100 now.

I'd guess most of the population have better things to spend that £100 on.

Chunter. Let's say you and I have the same car, and drive the same distance every month. I fill my car up for £100. You put in, say £25 each time. In that time, we'll both use £100 of fuel, but you've spent roughly 4 times as long travelling to and from, and standing in the petrol station. You say that you've got better things to spend £100 on, but you're spending exactly the same (actually more due to the inefficiency of more visits) as I do. BTW, even with prices the way they are, it would be a BIG car that would take £100 to fill.
